As much as I love Sick Puppies and their sound, I had trouble falling in love with the album 'Connect'. The first time I listened to this song I had trouble getting into it. Getting a fresh listen a couple month later, this song has grown on me significanlty. I hope I get into the rest of 'Connect' as much as I did with "Gun Fight"
what they are saying is, talk, ideas, peace hope and love. they all mean nothing, power flows from the barrel of a gun, change is brought about by action, the world is full of two types of people. those that say and those that do. if we want change it is up to -us- each and every one to go out and cause it.
I think Gunfight should be the next single not only because it's awesome, but also it being a harder sound might draw in more people that liked Sick Puppies' harder songs better. :)

It has a lot more energy and drive to it than There's No Going Back and Connect do, and would inform people that don't have the album yet that it contains songs with all sorts of themes, energy levels, sounds, etc.

This song will attract more new fans to the fandom. Connect then is not a radio song at all and not suitable for single, in my opinion.
Fair observation. "Light alternative" (or whatever description you pick for "Connect' has less than zero appeal to me, "No Going Back" didn't appeal to me at all either. This, similar to Riptide, at least holds my interest.
