yeah, you'll feel it but only in around 30m - so your effective range is extremly limited with even crazy modded lmg's. For indoor, it works well but outdoors every good aeg will outrange you!
Hello! I have a CA Stoner that has been sitting as I use my MWS all the time. I want to HPA it, but have little experience with this. The weak point on mine is the box mag as I have to keep manually turning it on. Question: did you change out the hop or anything? As I recall from the video, you are using the Wolverine Gen2? Anything in particular I would need to be aware of during install? Im semi-technical as I’ve working on all my guns, but never dealt with HPA.
I did some metal work on my stoner, and put an M4 buffer tube and stock on mine and it's amazing now. That stock that comes on the stoner is awful and mine broke after 2 weeks of play.
I have this Stoner lmg, but it's an older model then what you have. Mine feeds directly into the gun through the bottom instead of a line/hose in the side. Still I like it, and after seeing this video I think I know how I'm going to upgrade it. Maybe put a loud amplifier on it just to give it a more physiological affect on the field.
I’ve thought about dropping some sort of hpa system into my stoner 63 but it just can’t do it. That stoner has been my favorite gun for four years and it’s never had any issues beside the little plastic door for the 9v in the mag breaking. Something catastrophic will have to happen to the gearbox in order for me to drop and engine in there.
Question: Can i go to a milsim in a full american loadout and still carry a SIG550 instead of an M4, SAW, etc? Does the gun really matter that much, or is it mainly the gear that counts? Thanks!
What I doint like, is the fact A lot of people who use HPA turn it WAY up, have an insane joule creep and blast you from a crossed the field. When the BB impacts the wood wall next to you, and has enough force to ricochet a good distant back, someone is abusing it. I hate HPA weapons for that simple fact. It's not a gas rifle, it's not a AEG, its a douche with an HPA weapon.
I have seen plenty of aegs joule creep, my aeg l86 does it pretty bad at it. 400fps on .2 -> 400fps on .25. it is due to the tighter bore and shorter barrel than the original, throwing out the barrel to cylinder volume ratio.
Douchebags should never be tolerated. If you think someone is abusing their HPA system then you tell the refs to check people using HPA. I really do see why people dislike HPA but I prefer using it because I dont need to repair the damn thing every other month. I have had a terrible experience with AEGs and durability.
I have some AEG's but just aren't a fan of the battery. I've had to many fail at the wrong moment. I use Gas rifles, only because they don't just up and quit on you without a good reason. Having to carry a single can of gas around all day is better then making sure you have batteries. So far tho that aside, been pretty good on Durability with my AEG's then again, I don't change internals. Tho sense I got my HK 417 GBBR from Umarex/VFC I haven't touched my AEG's sense. I have a AEG Massada CQB from A&K, and a SR-25 from A&K
I love being support gunner and thank you Jonathan for opening my eyes to HPA have not considered it but I'm going to get my hands on a stoner HPA like the one you have in the video and see how it treats me at my field
I am quite liking the inferno. I have put it in my m27 which I'll be using in a support role. I was finding with it as an aeg running at 420fps, the reliability wasn't the best(probably half due to how I built the gearbox). One thing I have noticed is that the auto fire does chew through a bit of air, though I have haven't fully tuned the dwell. What size tank do you run with your Stoner? I am possibly considering getting a second tank. I currently have a 48ci and I am not sure if it worth getting another of the same size or a bigger one.
HPA Support Gunner is a great idea. Saw plenty last year at BBWars Airsoftology and they did their jobs well compared to one of the rebels running into a 'run-away-gun' issue due to electrical problems and one poor imperial that lost ALL his air. Personally I would run a HPA tapped Krytac E LMG, but if the Stoner is as light as you say I might give it a shot and see how I like it
If you dont like the stock. Take an M4 buffertube from a GBBR, shave down the threads, and keep shaving till it fits into the hole where the old stock is, then put the set screw back in. Maybe add a dab. Of glue on it :)

The field I have in mind seems to have everyone in modern gear, but my airsoft loadout is that of an american soldier in vietnam. Would I be the odd man out? or is that kind of thing pretty normal?
Maybe your old-style load out will get a lot of attention, But thats a good thing, people will maybe ask about it and get their own ideas( no clue of how to spell that xD ) and perhaps more will get their own WW1&2 gear, vietnam etc.. I think its a cool plan. DO IT! :)
Go for it. There are guys that have come out in ww2 kit to the filed that I play at and they get a good response. We play airsoft for the fun. Part of the fun can be building up your kit.
Can you check out the wingun Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine? It looks really cool and it fits in with my love of wearing WWII uniforms and using WWII weapons for airsoft (I am planning on making a Russian rifleman load out soon, I currently have a US para load out)

Get the player kit form amped airsoft will save you a lot of money. It has everything include for about 415 depending on what you get exactly. But you can get that deal anywhere else. I highly recommend them.
Dear AS QNA: are $30-$40 HSGI magazine pouches worth that much money? They look cool but in my opinion are a waste of money. Just a magazine pouch with the Velcro cover ripped off and bungie cord around it. EDIT: thanks guys for all the replies. SPEEDYNOOB for me taco is absolutely worth it. Yes it is pricy but you can pick up good ones second hand. Now the taco is worth it because it allows the open top pouch that has positive retention. Any other combo of pouch and kydex insert will run you about the same. The taco allows you to run any mags up to a 308 style so it is very universal, so instead of 2 sets of pouches that you need to switch out or having 2 loadout you can retain the same ergonomic without constantly having to change. For speedsoft it is also another good option because it allows you to run without needing a dump pouch and the pistol or gbbr mags this is more prevalent. I run a speedsoft pistol loadout and since I carry 8 mags I don't have to have a sack of mags bouncing around but instead I'll have the old mags sitting securely.
SPEEDYNOOB...in many things, you get what you pay for. I have 4 Tactical Tailor single mag shingles. I purchased them in 2004. They have been to Iraq, Republic of Georgia, Afghanistan, multiple training missions and several airsoft events. Only 1 of the 4 is showing the slightest amount of wear. I also have some Condor 3 mag shingle. It was purchased around 2011. It was never used for anything in the Military, only for some airsoft games. The stitching is coming apart and will no longer secure a mag.

Perfection wouldn't require you to carry a tank on your back. Perfection would look like a real gun! Also AEGs kinda sound like RC cars so my favorites are the green gas anf the co2 guns.

I hate how a lot of airsofters think HPA gun users are all douches who up their PSI and abuse the FPS and ROF limits. Luckily, the people I meet at games always play fairly, some even using lower PSI for less refills since they just want to shoot more rather than give the person some pain.

Always liked the idea of HPA LMGs. HPAs reliability combined with a support gun is excellent.

Z shot sells an AR style buffer tube adapter that will fit perfectly with it especially now that's HPAed.

I have the AEG version on it (upgraded) and there is a M4 adapter so u can put almost any stock u want. But love the AEG and would kill to HPA it
