It is a cellulose product which you mix with water, often used as a binder (medium) in fused glass. You can find it in bakeshops and pottery supplier shops. Maybe also on Amazon
CMC is carboxymethylcellulose. It is commonly used as a stabilizer in ice cream. I haven’t tried them (yet) but guar gum or xanthan gum are readily available and should perform similarly. CMC may be easier to disperse in water.
I looked on Amazon for CMC. It appears it’s a powder but it looks as if you used a liquid in your video. Should I keep looking for a liquid CMC mix or do I still need to add a liquid to the powder before I mix it with the mica?
Segment 4 in the firing schedule has you bringing the heat up to 900F. Then I see in Seg. 5 you are going down to 150F and then up to 700F before shutting down. Is this correct? This looks really beautiful and I would love to try it.
Love this one Lena, the colours really work and I like that the mica is subtle. I may start again with my glass work soon...feeling a tiny bit stronger some days, and this might get me started again. Not too much glass cutting involved which is good for me.

Thank you, you can either buy it from your glass supplier. Otherwise, you can find on Amazon or craft stores, but then you have to make test fires in your kiln. Some of the colors aren´t heat resistant
In the next video, I will talk, but I probably get comments about my accent since I am Swedish. I am glad you like the content, it is hard to find good music that isn´t protected by copyright.

What brand of mica did you use?
I only know I bought it on WarmGlass.uk. They are not saying which brand it is

No, it was orange and clear
What did you mix the mica w? And what kind of mica?
CMC and water, it works with any kind of mica as long as you made tests in your kiln. All mica doesn´t keep the color
