Addressing and clearing up A LOT of misinformation about Trainee A Leo’s showdown lyrics
In the showdown he performed 3 songs (the message of each one is important). It was a fictional storyline where a girl who was a gold digger manipulated him for money. The first song was when he was upset, some of the lyrics were ‘girl let go before you kill me slowly, thought it was love wasn’t meant to be’2nd song he talks about how he has money and she played him because of it ‘you know ima ball ima have it’, ‘I got these racks’ and now referencing the girl ‘b*tches done played with me’.And the 3rd song talks about how the girl can’t live without the money she used him for. And this is where the situations been misunderstood, taken out of context and false lies have been spread.Leo used and modified the song ‘stop breathing’ by playboy carti. Which ISNT a song about abusing women but about his friend who got murdered. The ‘stop breathing’ part in the song also wasn’t about hurting women, it was about girls going breathless when seeing playboy carti topless.
Leo used these stop breathing lyrics to reference that she couldnt live without his money (which was clearly a poor decision)‘fuck that hoe in my bank’ is saying fuck her for using the money in my bank+‘took that bitch to the store’again references how he would spend money on herLeo clearly didn’t think enough about the lyrics and this is evident by the fact that he said (in the now deleted vlog) his focus/effort was in the actual performance not the lyrics Leo modelled his stage after Playboy Cartis performance of ‘stop breathing’ this is his performanceLeo DID apologise. He apologised for the strong profanity and upsetting people. Yes he made a mistake and he shouldn’t of wrote those lyrics. He should have known that the people watching aren’t rap fans but Kpop fans who could find aggressive songs offensive and also may not be okay with or understand rap culture of swearing etc however,The lies and disgusting accusations needs to stop. Some Kpop stans speak about him as if he is evil calling him a women abuser, wrote a song about r*pe etc.People also started calling him racist because he used the word slavery in the second song. It was literally just him saying he didn’t want to be a slave to this girl. The word slavery is not a slur and their wasn’t even any meaning of race.Everyone is ofc allowed to have their own feelings about the situation but I hope at least people are now more informed of the whole situation.

Though I don’t follow this Trainee closely the fact he is pursuing a career in the public eye and yet was irresponsible and thoughtless to do this is disappointing . Misogyny and sexual violence is not something to be joke about or be used as a tool to add flare to a performance. For me personally I have a hard time understanding things so I don't fully recognize how the lyrics are mysogynistic, but I do realize that they were unacceptable for someone like Leo to write. It irls me that his first response to being angry was writing something like that. However, I do wish to point out that the majority of western rappers and artists have lyrics like this (and some far worse), yet they don't get addressed to all of the issues within their lyrics, which is probably where he had gotten inspired by in the first place. Regardless of his influence, the lyrics were taken way too far. I've seen many apologies in my time as a k-pop stan, and so far Leo's seems to be the most sincere one. He doesn't make a BIG excuse (though him saying he felt he needed to be provocative was slightly one), he addresses the problem right out, talks about reflection, and says he'll be better in the future, which he has been. I personally will forgive him as he seems to have grown, but I can understand others not wanting to. What is unacceptable, though, is people saying he should be kicked out of the group or going ot5. Regardless of the situation, Leo is a member of Trainee A, as he will be throughout the years. Aeons have been the most welcoming to this apology, rather than trying to force him out or "cancel" him, they are willing to educate him further on this topic, as he has stated he wishes for us and himself to do.
This was a wonderful video which presented information in an unbiased way, and I'm glad it can help other aeons understand the situation to its fullest.

So i searched the song (Stop breathing by playboi carti) that Leo COVERED that was said to be promoting femicide and abuse and listened to it and searched about the meaning of the song.
So the issue is the beginning part that goes like this:
"I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin' (ayy, yeah)
Breathin', breathin', bitches stop breathin' (yeah)
Breathin' (ayy), breathin' (what?), I think that bitch not breathin' (what? What?)"
Now the funny shit here is, the song was not even pertaining to women at all. I think people know well enough that the term bitches and hoes are also used to describe men not only women, especially in the diss/underground rap scenes; and by listening and seeing this explanation ( th-cam.com/video/ZGAhjqd77UI/w-d-xo.html) , hell all of you did the boy wrong by not researching first and just going along with the waves of the dangerous netizens' assumptions .

I am really surprised that some people are trying to justify his behaviour in the comments. What he did was completely wrong. There is NO denying that. It's your choice whether or not you accept his apology. I don't. But you can't try to justify what he did.

One question- why did you use footage of BTS in this video? If I was a new kpop fan I would assume that the guys I see performing here must be the members that you are referring to in Trainee A. It's a bit confusing to see the group BTS on stage while you're discussing the group Trainee A & one of its members.

    • @a-nation6560
      @a-nation6560  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I used BTS footage in the background because it was something viewers can watch, while listening to the video. Trainee A hasn't debuted yet, so I couldn't use montages of them.
