i'm 23! and i feel like rather than appealing to a certain age group, stray kids keep true to themselves and their style; i would interpret it as experimental and cheeky yet intense. they have many fun songs like christmas evel, awkward silence etc. but on the contrary, songs like 3rd eye, maze of memories etc. have a much darker vibe.

I'm 38 with 2 kids and I'm a massive Stray Kids fan. I love their music and I love that they don't ever take themselves to seriously. They've found a way to insert their humor into their music. And the fact that they write & produce their music on their own is also a huge reason I find them so appealing.
And can I just say how cool it is to see so many older people commenting. Kpop tends to be regarded as teeny bopper music, and I love seeing how diverse this fan base really is.

I am 65 and Stray Kids is one of my favorite groups. Did you just call me OLD…. LOL. This their first song about love. I believe they are trying to visualize the many different feelings that love invoke. We all know love is not sweet all the time, there are many highs and lows. This is stray kids’ first love song. My opinion. The big fluffy heart monster is love that hit them hence the bubblegum colored part of the song. The unexplainable giddy feeling of love and the contrast is the cops which are like the ones trying to suppress the emotions, keeping it restrained not letting it out until finally in the end it let go and jumps out the screen and make it real. 143🤟🏼
Actually they have other love songs but not as title tracks and not as cheery and energetic, it's more like sad love songs (Sorry I love you, Mixtape "OH", Ex, or Gone Away) or about obsession and toxic relationship like in Red Lights.
The big heart monster (named pipi by stays) is actually US, STAY and this is their first Title track love song but they have talked about love in their B sides before
red light it's a song about inner conflict the only toxic relationship is with theirself

The majority of the fandom (STAY) is in their early twenties which is the same ages with the members. Stray Kids are around 21-25 years old with their leader recently turning 25. But we have people joining our fandom from all different ages.

I'm 35 and a proud stay, I love how versatile they are, and no matter what they bring to the table it always sounds stray kids. The storyline in this MV is amazing. It's them falling madly in love, and the feeling makes everything colorful, dumb and cheerful, and there's that side of them (the cops) that are trying to understand and stop whatever is going on with this crazy feelings, until the point where they just give up and embrace it. There's a scary crazy atmosphere that comes with falling in love, and they have a few references of the movie The Shining, I just love all the details of this MV, it's another masterpiece!

BTW, 143 is a pager code used in the 90s to say “I love you”. I am very impressed at the fun way they tried to express all the emotions love make you feel. BTW, the plushies represents the emotion of love. Check out the making of this video, it’s hilarious. You are correct, without the backstory of what the video represents it might be difficult to comprehend.
So, this is like the first time they did a love song. Essentially the song is about someone falling in love and one part of them (when they're in colour) is all giddy and wants to experience all of it and is all childlike and enchanted by love and the other part (them in police uniforms) is being cautious because they have been hurt in the past, and they don't like the hold these 'emotions' have over them. In the end, the sceptics kind of win but they rewind the story to rewrite the narrative so that the emotions would win in the end. This is unlike anything they've done before. It is so cutesy but still has their gritty savvy flair to it.
Well, I'm 47 years old and I'm not ashamed to say that I love STRAY KIDS. Their style is different from other Kpop groups (at least that's what I think). I can't let this music pass without noticing it, it has a very good rhythm, voices and style. oh I also really enjoy watching them dance. I'M LOVIN 'IT! To me this song is like showing what a person feels falling in love. Like here Felix is the one who falls in love with someone and have all these feelings going inside of him. One side totally in love while the other is trying to tell them that you can't fall in love because this this will happen. So the love side gets chased away from the other but at the end both sides get convinced and decides to try it out.

And the other group trying to stop them and end it which is why there’s so drastic changes in how their outfits work and the scenery!

I'm a 15 year old girl and I had been a STAY for about 2 years now. I love their music sooooo much! It's different compared to other artists I listen too ( not saying Straykids are the like the best artists and better than others. All artists are amazing!!! ) I did go to Straykids 2nd World Tour Maniac in LA ( July 10 in LA ). I love them sooo much and I hope they continue to make music!!!
Soooo to explain the concept of this song; Basically, the album itself is called Maxident (basically like a really big accident/incident, pretty self explanatory) and their title track is called Case 143 as we just saw here. The idea is that the guys have fallen in love for the first time and the feelings and emotions of love are so new to them that they're kinda going crazy, confused on what it all means (hence why they sing "I can not explain this emotion/reaction"). And this is also SKZ's first love song. Those little fluffy heart monsters portray love in a physical sense as these chaotic little creatures that are hard to control, just how a person's first time falling in love makes it hard for them to control their emotions. And we have the contrast of the police SKZ to the really bright, in-love SKZ. The song is called Case 143 because falling in love is a new emotion to them, the brighter SKZ represents the way the heart deals with these emotions while the police SKZ is kind of the brain trying to be rational to figure out what these feelings are. So it's essentially like a case that their mind is trying to solve because they're having like a big surge of emotions all at once; as Bang Chan also said in an interview "falling in love is the maxident". You can also see in that shot of police Hyunjin shooting at the big heart monster; it easily catches the bullet which shows that the feelings are not easy to contain. In the end chorus where they sing "I'm gonna let you know that I'm just gonna go" is like them realising that they don't need to suppress these emotions and they're just gonna let it all out.
Another thing, answering what you asked - SKZ fandom is HUGE. We've got fans that are like 11 to straight over 30s. I mean even Ryan Reynolds is a STAY 💀 So SKZ always comes up with concepts that can be interpreted in different ways and can be enjoyed by anyone. I myself am 17 rn and have been a fan since they debuted.

The song about falling in love and resisting this new feeling… the MV show us when they fall in love in a soft, colorful way, but because this new feeling is a bit strange they decide to call the police, trying have control over themselves, that’s why there’s kind of duality, but at the end they stop resisting and accept the love…

I’m in my early 40’s and my daughter is 14, and we both love SKZ! The back & forth between the light, playful parts and the harder beat is very intentional. As the MV portrays, it’s an inner struggle between the heart (soft vocals and very colorful scenes) and logic (strong beat and dark colors). I really like the way they play with music and keep it interesting and fun.

I saw case 143 and instantly became obsessed and started binge watching all their content. at the moment I think my bias is Felix I'm just so in love with his deep voice. OMG. Plus I find that two of them being Australian is very interesting and intriguing and I'm all here for it.

Im 30 this November what I love about them is they have so much variety and they're just so fun. And their music is absolutely beautiful. I have bad health issues and one of their songs helped me with mental health a few others helped me sleep when I was having trouble sleeping, and the others cheered me up when I hadn't smiled. I’m 20 and been a fan for about three years now when one of the members left the group i started getting more interested in their story and music. I had already a few of their songs in my playlist but never really follow them closely like the other groups I liked. Now they’re one of my favorite groups and I’m always there the moment their new songs come out!
All i can say is I just LOVE this group!!! Continues to impress
Unlike what some medias tend to say Stray Kids don't only appeal to teens or young adults, their music is so unique and diverse that there's something for everyone. They don't try to copy anyone, they just do what they love in a very authentic and passionate way.
Also for this MV, my theory is that Stray Kids got stroke by love (the heart bumping in Felix at the beginning) and so love is making them lose control and do shit (like flip the table, setting the hotel on fire) so there's another side of Stray Kids (the police-looking Stray Kids) who's trying to investigate on what's happening and they try to stop the love (as we can see when they "unplug" the emotions). But then, Seungmin comes and breaks the fourth wall to go back in time and replug the emotions system. I think that the Stray Kids version we see at the end with the traditional-inspired style is the version that is finally in peace with themselves and the love they're feeling, they've just accept it and decide to go for it by breaking the screen. This could be seen as a love song for STAYs or as the love of STAYs for SKZ, it's really overwhelming and scary at the beginning but then they accept it and break the screen to come to us. Also, I think the sailor scene represents what's happening in their mind when they're in love cause the first time we see this scene kinda looks like we're in IN's head (just like we were in Lee Know's head in Maniac). That's why this scene looks so dreamy with pink sky and heart-shaped clouds.
Anyway that's just a theory, feel free to disagree with me or add your opinion.
