x-men the animanted series didn't look bad to me back in the 90s it look great to me in my opinion but i respect your honest opinion if you didn't know the oringial x-men animanted series in the 90s
This actually have the best art style of all the animated X-Men, since it looks almost like their comics counterpart, the only problems are the fluidity of the animation and frame rate.
The designs were cool, no doubt… The animation however was reeeeally bad, even for its time. The movements were always super clunky and slow. Compared to something like Batman the Animated Series which came out the same year and legitimately still holds up both storytelling wise and visually, XMen doesn’t really in the visuals department. That being said, I still have fond memories watching the show as a kid, and now as an adult appreciate the adaptations of the comic stories. But yeah, that animation is still rough to look at lol.

The art style is actually good, the animation is the problem since it's very clunky, but this also have the best story out of all the animated X-Men, and also have the most iconic theme song.

I agree, the animation was ROUGH. It's why I preferred X-Men Evolution more. I still love the 90's animated series so of course I'm HYPED AF for this continuation.

Miguel Ohara here, it might just have been a little clearer what you meant if you had used the past tense ("the art style *_was_* actually good"; "the animation *_was_* the problem"; "this also *_had_* the best story [......]" etc.) instead of the present tense. That trailer looks really old, like they made it a year ago and were waiting to drop it. Cal Dodd's voice sounds off compared to how he's sounded in recent videos voicing Wolverine, like he didn't have time to practice. Plus a lot of screen caps in articles look vastly improved.

Season 5 saw a marked decline in many aspects of the show as Fox began cutting the budget. Visually the colors became flat, the movements over-expressive, and the camera work static. The new animation style is not identical to the original, but it's far closer to that than the Season 5 style. @@geek-out
No shame in admitting it man, I didn't care too much for it either. BUT, for the episodes I did see here and there, like the flashback of how Wolverine teamed up with Captain America, I thought it was alright, and I did like the opening theme. Besides, I grew up more on X-Men: Evolution anyway! Still, I am excited to see how this will turn out

The designs did try to adapt Jim lee’s drawing style, but they didn’t animate well.

The animation is quite poor in the original show. Very clunky and small amount of FPS. Prof X didn't die, he was taken by his alien empress girlfriend to be healed.
Bravo Disney for generating yet another flop that no one wants based on a series that the intro was the best thing about it lmao. My only question is why they didn't make the new leader of the xmen a woman...which will probably happen since Magneto cannot lead the xmen...ever.

Nah, everything about it is solid it's based on the 90 series but a little more modernized.

The original artwork was terrible. They did a great job on this continuation series.

It may be I'm just not a fan of cyclops but hearing him say. "To me my Xmen" felt icky to me.
