We took this video to show you how to replace the headlight bulb on your Chevrolet Cruze. It is the same procedure for all models and years. It is a simple procedure that can save you some money. When replace the headlight bulb always remember not to touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers because the grease from your skin will cause the bulb to burn quickly.

I know this video is old. But it was the first one to actually help me. I thought my bulb was stuck but just needed to take that grey piece off.
This literally took me 5 minutes to fix! Anytime I have any problems with my car, I check youtube before going to any mechanic:P I'm now a youtube certified mechanic.. Jk!😂

People have to make sure they take those red gaskets out if their new bulbs have gaskets. I tried to do it how you did and couldn't get it to lock in to turn it. then I realized the new bulbs come with gaskets in the gap all around the bulb. good thing I realized it or I may have broken the bulb trying to lock it in and turn it.

Good to know. I have a 2015 Cruze now but prior to that I had an 09 Aura. You had to dismantle the front end to change bulbs. Two weeks after I did that I totaled it!

You might need to take the gasket out of the NEW bulb!!! If it seems to be going in but not quite, check for gray colored gasket in the new one!!!

Left side isnt exactly identical. Right side is slightly obstructed. Unclip light FIRST, before pulling bulb out, then unscrew and retract bulb. Youre welcome. (Remove old gaskets, they get stuck on fixture)

easier than my 09 malibu you gotta take the whole front off just to change a bulb. 100 just to do the whole job
Michael Coleman I have (well it’s my wife’s car) a 09 as well, there is a rubber piece covering the bulb over the housing assembly, the bigger issue for me is the fact there is a clip holding the bulb in place. Opening it is easy, putting it back kicks my ass.

Will LED work instead halogen?
GM sells the Holden Cruze in Australia. And unfortunately it appears to be different on this vehicle. Rubber seal over it and I can not twist it. Any Aussies know how to do this on the Holden ?

Same dude! The grey piece just fell out of my hands and fell down somewhere idk where I couldn't find it! I think it just locks the green part that you push in to release the bulb. Just stops you from being able to push the green button down
other light you take the bumper off
It's usually the passanger side the manufacturers where you have to remove items.

I own a 2010 Chevy Cruze and it does NOT use the H13 bulb.
I looked it up and it does.
@@crlaw75 Looked up what where? Here's what I found... United States: Lordstown, Ohio (Lordstown Assembly; 2011-2016) Also, keep in mind, I own a 2010, it doesn't look like the video. It has different parts inside. I think it may be a Daewoo inside.
I don't recall now where I saw the mentioned info, but it does surprise me.
