This is terrific. I'd jump over the moon if you made a vienna masterclass Playlist

I bought Gothams e4 course awhile back. I play the Vienna but I'm 1100 & nobody plays course lines against me. Thank you, these are the moves I see in my games. Very much appreciated & I will be buying your course. Thank you!

For the next Speedrun, can you play Vienna?
I'm around 1850 rating but I always love watching these, Caro Kann was really helpful so I would love to see Vienna

omg hype! I used to play the Vienna, been trying out the KIA/KID since your series came out but can’t seem to really get into it.
I was returning to the Vienna so I’m super happy to see you covering this!
I normally play with a fianchetto G2 bishop if I can’t enter the vienna gambit with a F pawn push in mind

Wait this might be the best succinct guide to the traps in the Vienna 😮 I've never seen anyone talk about the Rf1 trap in the copycat, I've won multiple games in that line
Omg and the b5 Bxf7 line in the main line is here too!? This is the perfect Vienna video.

Excellent content. I like the rating climbs especially. One improvement suggestion would be to go easier on the cutting. It makes the videos a bit restless when the speech is "jumping" from sentence to another. I think many of us have the few extra seconds in our lives to allow smoother listening experience. Thanks and keep up the good work 👍🏼

This is exactly why I dodge e4/e5 😂 So many traps, gambits, etc. Wild games with often forced lines - high risk & high reward playstyle when you don't know all the theory 😅

    I had an OTB game on the Vienna gambit last night and missed the opportunity to set up the nice Nd5 hitting the Qe7 and sacrificing on c7. Looking closer at this I think that whilst Nxc7 is winning, exd6 is even stronger with opportunities to win more material and a tricky tightrope for black to walk down. 1.e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. f4 exf4 4. e5 Ng8 5. Nf3 d6 6. Qe2 Qe7 7. Nd5 Qd7....and now instead 8. exd6+. Also, should black play the natural 7....Qd8, don't miss the beautiful variations after 8. exd6+ Be6 9. Nxc7 Kd7 10. Ne5+! Kxd6 11. Nxe6 fxe6 12. Nxf7

I don’t understand why anyone would attempt to cancel the pawn pin with the black queen? If you move up the Bishop instead , white is suddenly in deep deep trouble , very high risk gamble ?

Not really traps, but white has a pleasant position.

A great video. You cover a lot of important variations and outstanding traps. This video made me a subscriber. However, one suggestion - don't go through the moves so fast. For this to be useful, and not merely entertaining, in many sections I have to stop the video after every move.

Pleassssssse go back to speaking normally and with a natural pace....
That's what I always liked MOST in your videos!
This edited version of you really takes away all the charm... And for me - (1350 elo blitz, 1580 rapid) - much tougher to follow 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
