    just started trying to learn chess 1month ago, did some research and decided i wanted to stick to the vienna game and caro kann when possible and i must say this youtube channel has just been an absolute pleasure, so much free information and educational content feels almost illegal, Thank a lot IM Alex Banzea for the videos

      Yeah, the Vienna is awesome. Most opponents below 1300 to 1400 have never faced it before and don't know their best moves. When you become a stronger player if you want to play more positionally check out the 3. g3 variation of the Vienna.

    Alex, I was watching another guy’s video including the London the other day. Some commenter complained that he was tired of watching the “boring” London and saying that the guy would not see enough pawn structures to be a good player. I responded by saying that most advice about chess I had seen and most of the instruction I’ve gotten suggested playing the same openings all the way to FM or IM level for the very reason that you see the same structures all the time and know how to play them. Then I copied one of your videos in one of your London rating climbs saying exactly the same thing. Thanks for helping me win the argument!

    Well done. When you find yourself trailing off, maybe bring it back to some main or sidelines that were not played?
    Sometimes you will say something like "everything other than d4 is a bad move here", and it would be great to see like the top 3 or 4 other moves and why they are bad. I find that I struggle with weird early gambit lines and and having trouble getting to 1400. I started at around 900, quickly hit 1200... and it has been a mutli year slog to 1400.

    At 5:20 wouldn't it have been better to play d5 instead?
    If he takes your bishop, you take his night, with a discovered attack on his queen
    His queen has to move to either b8 or c8
    Then you take the pawn on b7:
    If his queen is on c8, it's forked with the rook
    If it's on b8, his rook moves to a7, then bishop to d4 should win the rook
    If there's a flaw, kindly enlighten me

    Love your content Alex and always post a THUMBS UP. I have a SUGGESTION - I often screw up in the opening after seeing an opportunity to attack and attacking too soon. Especially with the Jojoba London. Why not teach us how to KNOW when to attack and when to develop? I am rated 1200.

    • @sharonjuniorchess
      @sharonjuniorchess ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Games are won or lost on who makes the most blunders. The trick I have found teaching junior players is to get them to scan the board looking for unprotected pieces (on your side and your opponents side). The more you practice this the better (& quicker) you will get. Take your time considering your next move and don't jump at the first move you see. Study the board "and look for a better move". If you act in haste you will repent in your leisure. Lol
