This was so heartwarming! I definitely relate to that joy of finally being with family and feeling a little bit normal. Here we were able to rent an airbnb recently and we re-celebrated everyone’s birthday since we couldn’t during lockdown and we surprised my brother with a mini graduation ceremony since he couldn’t have a graduation after 5 years in university. It was definitely the highlight of this year ❤️
I love how they split their chores and they don't question it. it is wholesome because in my society it's like the kitchen is for only women and even the women feel bad for making the men do the chores that are meant for "females" and the girls should cook and do the dishes, while the men sit and talk. it's sickening. and seeing how not only Gabie's family but many others respecting each other without the gender norms really makes me think I am missing so much out. I need to get out of here.
Not so long ago my country was like this.. And the elderly and more traditional minded people still thinks this way. I'm glad equality is slowly progressing here

Do you know what’s really interesting? My kids see my husband and I do everything 50/50 and since they have been raised with it they think it’s really weird and don’t understand why dads don’t do that as well and things like food shopping etc on some tv shows they watch!
the only way to fix this was by teaching the next generation kids to learn to wash their dishes on their own after they had their meal,so that it was implanted in their brain that dishes can be done by neither men or women

This really warmed my heart. My husband's grandmother passed away from COVID19 and we live far away. Watching you all enjoy simple time together was meaningful to me. I pray this all will pass quickly and safely. 💜
Seeing this much later than the actual lockdown time makes me both sad and nostalgic about this time. We worked hard to come together and celebrate each other during the time our many governments imprisoned us in our homes. In the end, the human spirit triumphed. So glad you were able to celebrate with your loved ones and share a traditional meal.
I live with an elderly woman, so I live in perpetual fear that I will somehow infect her because I was careless- so even though restrictions have been lifted a lot in Germany, I still haven't met up with anyone since March T_T But I'm glad you get to have visitors again!

I agree. Gabie with no makeup is super adorable to me. Maybe it's the minimalistic way Koreans put makeup on, but I can barely tell a difference anyway.

It also lets her have a lot of freedom in doing what she wants to do and when she does it. Since Josh works for home they can both be together most of the day versus her going to work almost everyday from 2PM-12AM.

I agree. Gabie with no makeup is super adorable to me. Maybe it's the minimalistic way Koreans put makeup on, but I can barely tell a difference anyway.

She said that she used to work in a restaurant, and she feels like its not for her since she cooks repetitive recipes everyday and she does not like that.
@@AndreaSanchez-wk8wd There are restaurants in which they change their recipes every week though. Especially those are extremely interesting!
I feel like she chose this life of being a TH-camr since she can do whatever she likes which goes beyond the path of cooking like makeup , video reaction,tips and advices on fashion and vlogs plus so much more and I prefer her this way.

@@MichelleLalnunmawii I agree. Restaurants require a lot of financial risk as well and if income via YT is good then why take a riskier path? It also lets her have a lot of freedom in doing what she wants to do and when she does it. Since Josh works for home they can both be together most of the day versus her going to work almost everyday from 2PM-12AM.
