Solid gold, Larry. It is truly stunning. After seeing Peggy's Cove from the same 'postcard' viewpoint for so many years, your perspective is fresh and new. And the music hits just the right tone. Can't wait to see the other 170+ Nova Scotia lighthouses. I'll be staying turned!

Summers are beautiful in Nova Scotia I hear. But I'm sure that the swimming season is really short, right? Surely the water cant get that warm at that latitude, am I right? But its probably good weather for tennis and golf. Can't wait to visit someday. :)

+Marc Spector Hey there, Marc! Thanks for viewing our video. Summers are certainly fantastic here, but admittedly every season in this province has its own beauty. Certainly the ocean water temperature is cold (after all, it's the mighty North Atlantic), but the beaches are gorgeous and the lakes (some quite large) are enjoyably warm. And the golf... stellar. Make sure to visit soon!

+Clinton O'Shea Thanks a million for viewing the video, and for subscribing to our channel! It is sincerely appreciated.
And hell yes... #StayOffTheBlackRocks! We honestly don't get why people even venture down there... so little to be gained for such a big risk.

What time during the day did you take the shots? I'm going to visit this summer and i am bringing my phantom 3 pro, was wondering how you got nobody around? I don't want to put anyone in danger

Daniel... this was shot very early in the morning (crack of dawn) and during a cool weekday in October. I spoke with staff there about the best time to film, and after receiving advice from them, as well as many trips to the location, decided to wait for the off-tourist season and a day/time most likely leaving the site vacant. It took a bit, but the right day finally became available.

the still images near the end of the vid cycle through too fast!

+007tallguy Thanks for checking out the video and for leaving your comment... sincerely appreciated. The photos at the end were meant as a quick recap of the area, and we didn't want to spend too much time holding each image on screen. The difficult part with producing these videos is trying to determine that fine line between enough content/time and too much; it's always about trying to make sure the viewer is engaged and interested. Perhaps next videos we will see about leaving each pic on screen for just a bit longer.
In the meantime, if there is a particular image you like, please feel free to message us and we can share it via our Twitter feed or the like, so you can take a better look, save, etc.
Thanks again for your time and comment. Cheers!

+Per R Thanks watching the video and your comment. It's appreciated! The way the videos are sped up in places is a bit of a stylistic approach that we like to take, though it is certainly understood that it can be overdone as well. The issue is trying to keep the average viewer engaged and interested. When the drone is flown, it is most often done so at quite a low rate of speed. In trying to get more content in the video, without it being onerous to watch (we don't want the viewers to get bored), we will implement some effects, including a speed-up of a section of "film". Again, it tends to be more a style thing for us as well. It seemed a bit more necessary for Peggy's Cove, as it iconic and has been captured several times; we didn't want people to click away after a minute because, "Yup, saw that already". That being said, the pace of our Cape Sable video is quite different from this one.
It's really interesting that you mention the video being cut-up to make it fit the length of the song. Actually, the video is edited several times, and once finalized, it is either sent off to my colleague (Cory) to add a musical piece to it, or I advise him I need a piece of music of "x.xx" length for the video. I guess it's back to my style of shooting and editing then; really isn't meant to be done to fit the music, but rather for the music to fit it.
Your comments have certainly been well taken and are appreciated, as I will be editing some new footage this week.
And thank you very much for the compliment on the project! Very happy you like it. We are trying to capture what may be the last gasp for some of these structures, as well as maybe - just maybe - stir some interest to save others. Cheers!
