I blind bought Believe after I've read such good reviews and I love it! The Guava and Patchouli together are great (and I normally am not a big fan of patchouli)!!!
@@Bambi_1111 in the opening its strong with a lot of pink pepper but as it dries down it weakens quite a bit. after 20 mins it's rather subtle. longevity is maybe 5 hours on my skin and it's very linear.
This is such a good example of why one should NEVER, EVER listen to a recommendation from someone who says something like, "This is the scent everyone should get this summer" or something like that. There is absolutely no single fragrance that works for all (or even most) people. I have a collection of 160+ carefully curated fragrances and I like precisely one of the scents they reviewed here. Scent is so very subjective and that's a great thing!
YES! I wore Fantasy a few days ago and after many showers (two a day) I can still smell traces of it on my wrists. This perfume works so well on my skin, the end note is vanilla-y, almost white chocolate and it's not overbearing. I've had some perfumes that didn't work on my skin but were fantastic on other people I know. Fantasy is definitely a favorite for me, I never wear too much because I don't like when people bathe in perfume, it's too aggressive on everyone's noses and it's just bad etiquette.

I am surprised Black Opium did not rank so high. I love it. Musky. Sweet. Seductive. One I would wear before a night out. It is slightly masculine and I think that is what I search for in my perfumes.

Hypnotic Poison, while it may be sweet, is still a seductive and intoxicating scent. I recently revisited it after not wearing it for many years; I love it just as much today. Fragrances are subjective I guess, and, I think many of us are attracted to a scent that reminds us of something or someone, a particular place or time. I am in love with the $20 Sol de Janeiro body sprays, several of them have a nostalgic scent for me
This proofs that the price tag, nor the niche, nor the house is really what makes a scent unforgettable. Birtney Spears Fantasy is simply iconic and I still feel is a hit. This was very cool, I would love to be there and try these perfumes. I am sure that if we test other people in a different country this will have different reactions. Amazing

I honestly cannot stand Coco Mademoiselle. The patchouli is just so gross to me, and the other notes are just a cacophony. I agree with the girl who called it a Yankee candle smell

Fantasy by Britney Spears is legendary classic perfume Hands down the best with many compliments No, don't hear other people say is sickly sweet,is not,the kiwi give the perfume a more bright tone and the sweet notes are balanced very well.
yes, I have a sensitive nose and will get a headache from most gourmand perfumes, but Fantasy is my all time favorite. It's not overbearing, the kiwi and lychee make it fresh and the vanilla and white chocolate end notes are very cozy. It works so well on my skin and lasts forever. Aside from Fantasy, my favorite fragrances are mostly citric (Loccitane's Vervaine is forever in my heart).

Not even gonna lie I bought into the hype of Black Opium. I didn’t like it at first. But after all the compliments. It started it grow on me. On me it’s really sweet and gourmand.I pick up the coffee and Vanilla, but on my sister it smells like old lady.

Britney’s fragrances might not be the best in the market but you get quality for a very convenient price. My 38yo sis still wears Midnight Fantasy, some students wear Fantasy and my mom loves Curious and Radiance. Also, some men wear her Believe fragrance!
I hate to date myself, but all New York was agog when the original YSL Opium came out. Everyone at Studio 54 wore it. Men or women ( which was quite unusual at the time )
Awesome stuff , it's certainly interesting to see different noses react differently to fragrances and their thoughts! However, it would've been better if the fragrance profiles were changed up a bit. Like some floral, some woody/oriental and some fresh /floral/fruity!
This made me so sad because Coco Mademoiselle is my signaturne scent. But then again, perfumes don't hit their REAL smell until they're on someone. I can confirm I am not a lawyer or an old lady lol.
Coco mademoiselle is my go to ive being wearing it for ages and fell in love with it when i was 14yo. My 2nd choice is lancome la vie est bell. Ive found coco mademoiselle can smell very different depending on the person and definitely different in the bottle vs on someone.
Same Coco Mademoiselle is my classic, my first, is powerfull, and like you said it can smell different on different persons and for sure you can't get the real smell from a sample it has to be on you after it dries up
Poison Hypnotique became my HG fragrance from the very moment I tried it (which was when it was introduced because old). But I was always told my one gf that it's way too over-powering for her, so I'm surprised it's described by anyone as soft. Still love ithe stuff.

This was fun to watch. I absolutely love how fragrances are perceived so differently by people, I find it fascinating. Personally, I agree with Wil on his final choices…of these HP is my fave and CoCo Mademoiselle is my least favorite (to be fair, I probably need to revisit that one though).
My friend always wore fantasy, it smelled so lovely on her but when her sister and I tried we got completely different results on our skin and it was horrid. Personal chemistry plays a big role in how a fragrance unfolds.
The one is correct who said Dior Hypnotic Poison smells like root beer. It is because of the vanilla in it. I bought a bottle without trying it, and I rarely wear it because it reminds me so much of root beer.

Chanel perfumes (and I guess many others) are so different on skin, paper doesn't give them justice. Even Chanel 5 is quite bad on paper.

Tressa still has the best nose for my taste. She again picked one of the best Houses, Prada and the cheap BS Fantasy as least favorite. She also nails the notes best.The girl knows her stuff!
I always feel weird because Black Opium is a really cherished fragrance and I totally loathe it.
