"Samadhi is the state where the mind dissolves, and the true Self shines in its purest form. Are you ready to let go of the illusions and discover who you really are?"
"Samadhi is the state where the mind dissolves, and the true Self shines in its purest form. Are you ready to let go of the illusions and discover who you really are?"
Samadhi, according to Sri Ramana Maharshi, is not a state to attain but your true nature, always present. It is a complete union with the true self, where all thoughts and pains dissipate, leaving only endless peace. Samadhi is not far away, but the present when you let go of your little self and see your true self clearly. 👉 Have you ever felt a deep stillness without a reason?
❤️ The Self is the Heart. The Heart is selfluminous. Light arises from the Heart and reaches the brain, which is the seat of the mind. The world is seen with the mind, that is, by the reflected light of the Self. It is perceived with the aid of the mind. When the mind is illumined it is aware of the world. When it is not itself so illumined, it is not aware of the world. If the mind is turned in towards the source of light, objective knowledge ceases and Self alone shines forth as the Heart. The moon shines by the reflected light of the sun. When the sun has set, the moon is useful for revealing objects. When the sun has risen, no one needs the moon, although the pale disc of the moon is visible in the sky. So it is with the mind and the Heart. The mind is useful because of its reflected light. It is used for seeing objects. When it is turned inwards, the source of illumination shines forth by itself, and the mind remains dim and useless like the moon in day-time. ~ Sri Ramana Maharshi (Talk 98)
"Teacher, I am very afraid of death. How to overcome this fear?" "Who is the one who is afraid of death?" "I, myself, I'm afraid of losing everything, losing this body." "Then ask yourself, 'Who are you?' Is this body you? Or are you something else, beyond the body?" "I think you are this body. If the body dies, I will disappear." "When you sleep, you are not aware of your body, but you still exist. When you dream, this body is not active, but you are still present in the dream. This proves that you are not just a body." "So if it's not a body, what are you?" "You are the consciousness, the deep knowledge inside. This consciousness is not born, does not perish, and cannot be touched by death. Go inside and find the source of 'I.' Death is just the disintegration of the body. But my self never dies.
