It’s because private catholic schools are able to recruit and have big budgets for athletic development. Public schools just have to work with whatever kids are in their district.

@Sir We Are About to Diehaving 4 & 5 star talent doesn't automatically make a school better. But it does give them an advantage, especially if it's year after year. Yes coaching is more important in college ball, but the talent is the deciding factor. Schools like bama, Clemson, and Ohio state are always going to have the advantage because of the talent they get EVERY year.
