Mammograms are so important. I skipped a couple of years with COVID and all. Turned 60 this year and decided to get caught up. Well, turned out I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma. Luckily caught very early. Had surgery and finished radiation right before Christmas holiday and doing great in the new year. I will never skip again!
So glad you caught it early and recovered. Thanks for the reminder to get a mammogram! 💜

I didn’t put up a tree, but my poinsettias in tree form are going strong, along with the holly plants! I can’t bring myself to throw them away… red for Valentines Day. 😍

Michele don’t feel too bad. My lighted Christmas wreath is still up and comes on everyday. I told myself that I would take it down end of January yet here we are in February and it’s still up ❤❤
I love how your husbands office turned out! The color is perfect. I knew you would be pleased with California Closets. When the suede is dry, brush them with your cleaned and dried brush. This should get rid of any remaining particles. If necessary, you can repeat with the cleaning solution.
If it was up to me, I would always have Christmas lights on!
Good job on getting your mammogram! I’m also 49. Just before Covid I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. 4 surgeries and radiation and I am now considered “no evidence of disease”. I just did my first colonoscopy last month. Thankfully all was good there, just a few polyps that were removed. It was not fun but not as terrible as I imagined lol. The prep for the colonoscopy was worse than the actual procedure of course.
I had a very busy January a few years ago and failed to take my tree down for a few weeks. I started calling it my Winter Tree. 😂

I used to wear black suede shoes all the time. I used to clean them by holding them in the steam from the kettle and lightly brushing them with a suede brush. Never failed.

I probably would've taken some tape to the slippers first to get most of the glitter off. Much like using tape to get any glitter off your face when there's eye shadow fallout.
Tape didn't work. I think the suede sucked it up 😂 , and the shadow was so creamy that it wouldn't adhere.

Ha! I took down the 5th and final tree last night. (In my defense, we also have a lake house and I had 2 trees up there as well and spend every weekend there.) Our decs stay up until after epiphany. I have to tackle one tree at a time during the week. Many years ago, everything went to hell in a hand basket (got super sick, lost job, then to make the same money, was working two jobs 7 days per week) so one tree was still up in April. It was not ideal and added to my mental stress bc it was yet more thing to do.

Prior to covid when I was traveling all the time, I just went with it and would change the ornaments on my Christmas Tree to match the current holiday. I finally did a take down around Easter with little bunnies and egg ornaments . Pretty sad I know but it was kinda funny especially after a couple of cocktails with friends and family gazing at the tree. 🎄💚💝❤🐰🤍😆

You get that colonoscopy, Michele. If it's perfect you won't have to go back for 10 years most likely. I have one every 3 years. My dad died of colorectal cancer at age 59 back in the 80s. They just didn't talk about these things back then. I started at age 40 and have had 7 in 33 years. Prep is the worst part. They save lives though. Don't put off. Ok. Finished with my lecture. 😔

I would love to see a full sit-down makeup video, if you care to do that. These products are amazing. The office is spectacular, sleek, modern, but will be so warmed up with all your husband's books. I think using microfiber cloths are very effective, dry or moist, on suede, by the way. I think I might call California Closets to price re-doing our office. Loved this vlog, Michele. 💖💖 (Could a dog be any cuter? Btw, we still have our Christmas tree up - love how it sparkles, but planning a take down this weekend.)

Oh I just took the ornaments off of one of my two trees last night. I have one more tree to go! I am actually excited to get it all down because last year I never took down my family room tree.

Girl, don't even worry about the Christmas tree shame. We've once left ours up until the middle of February.
I actually know of someone who has had her Christmas tree up since COVID (December 2019) and she may not take it down till the lights burnout!! Ornaments are still on it - she gives them a little dusting every now and then - she refuses to be shamed into taking it down. Whatever makes her happy! 😂 We forwent the Xmas tree this past year due to the adoption of two little kittens (furry demons). You do you - it looks beautiful in the video. 😉
