  • The images from the Hawaii wildfires can bring back some painful memories from our own state. Last week marked two years since the Dixie Fire broke out, destroying the town of Greenville, in Plumas County. Joe Rosato Jr. visited the devastation shortly after the fire, and returned this week to see how the town is recovering two years later.

I was JUST thinking of this. "New Greenville" needs to be announced, supported, etc.
An old friend of mine's family once owned the only major grocery store. I don't know what happened to him (Nathan) and his father, mother, etc.

What hubris is this to build new homes in a spot that is prone to fires.

Where do you live? Everywhere has risk of some natural disaster? valleys flooding, plains have tornadoes, coasts have tsunamis and usually earthquakes. Hurricanes too .

Yep. All of the burnt trees are gonna spontaneously combust and reignite lol
I've lived here for 30 years and our town was never threatened by a fire like that. Not until the Dixie.
