Thats a good size speaker for my clock, no wonder why the sound from it is so good when I listen to my music. The reception is excellant when the power cord is moved properly
the second digit in a General Electric date code is the last number of the year it was made. So x2xxx is 1962 1972, 1982, 1992, etc and x1xxx would be 1961/71/81/91. So yours is a 1992. The first number is a mystery, some say it indicates whether it was made during day or night shift. The xx45x is the week it was made. The xxxxK is the plant ID where it was manufactured.
GE Digital Alarm Clock model 7-4612A I just bought a machine of the same type yesterday, and its alarm clock radio is not responding, and the fluorescent tube is missing 1~2 displays. After I finished cleaning, I opened the outer cover, cleaned the inside of the machine, and then sprayed the pad contact cleaner , and then use a flathead screwdriver to jumper the contacts of the fluorescent tubes, hoping to revive the lost display~ At present, there is only one stroke and no display sign^^
My understanding of the date code has your radio being produced the 45th week of 1992. The first digit from the left is the plant code. The second is the year code (you have to guess the decade as GE didn't include it for some reason) The next two digits are the week code. Your date code includes a letter at the end... not all of them have this and I have no clue as to what it denotes. Hope this helps.
I bought it on eBay about 6months ago. Facing some problems in respect to the time. When I set the time it runs fast. I really don’t know how to solve the problem. Just thought of asking you. Thanks
hello, I have a 7426, the transformer was burned, I reformed the transformer, however it goes to a temperature of 85 degrees celcius, does yours heat up too?
"I won’t touch anything" Proceeds to touch everything. LoL 👍

Yes.
It was common for many old clock radios to spell "snooze" as "snooz". I don't understand why they did this, but it's not only on this clock.
Interesting

Sounds broken.
Mine not working when used 9V batteries which is no display at all. But, if used wired it work perfectly. Is is normal?
Yes, the timekeeping and alarm are saved, as are radio, but for battery saving the display is off
thk for the explanation. Is it possible for changes any setting to on the display while using battery?

Dutchman Kamstra Thank you.
@@xjoe81x Actually the first digit is the day of the week, in this case a Tuesday. The letter is the plant code. Otherwise that's correct.

Do you know how big the screen is? Like for the clock do you know the dimensions of the display.
Sorry I do not at this time.

I don't believe so.
The buzzer on my 7-4612B is very weak. It’s not as loud as it should be. I don’t have any idea how to get it to it’s full loudness.
I just might be breaking.
@@xjoe81x Ok. Thank you!
My father has one of those, i got mine for 2.99 and it works, minus a piece of the 2nd to last digit
Nice.
