This was a great and entertaining review. I watched other reviews of Independence of the Seas, and I started to panic because I just booked one for next year. This video definitely puts me at ease.
I've been on Freedom Of The Seas Ship for the 2024 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise. It was an AWESOME time. I'll be going on the Independence Of The Seas Ship for the 2025 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise. This one guy was playing "Zombie," by the Cranberries at the Windjammer. Instead of singing "In Your Head," he sang "Wash Your Hands." LOL!
Hahahaha..."this is what happens when the Ozempic wears off". Love that! Rick, I always enjoy your cruise videos. You show a wide range of what to expect from the meals to the shows to various activities and spaces on the ship. I will be taking my first solo cruise on Virgin in January so this video is encouraging for me. Thanks so much for this all encompassing video! 🙂
Great video! I am a female solo traveler and my first solo cruise was Disney Alaska cruise out of Vancouver. Boy was I nervous but I had so much fun. I’ve cruise on Disney many times solo and feel very safe and comfortable. I guess it’s time to try other cruise lines but again I’m nervous.
This was by far the most informative and well filmed vlog on independence of the seas I've seen! Thank you for the insider experience! This is what I want to see in a review!
So happy to see your experience was great. I'm going solo on Independence for Halloween, very excited. Can I ask you how you got the window table? Did you talk to the maître' d when you got on board, or did it just work out that way?
@@sweetauntbuddy it worked out that way. I did notice all the solo people were assigned at windows tables so if that was done intentionally, then big kudos to Royal. It won't hurt to go talk to Maitre'd though or check your table as soon as you board
Taking the same Independence on a solo TA to Southampton. You would enjoy the long TAs, more subdued and very relaxing, great value for the money even with the single supplement fee. LOTS of solos on the TAs.
I will be on the Independance of the Sea in September 2025 for a 9 days cruise from Southampton UK to Spain and Portugal. Since it's a longer cruise and in September, the vibe should be different and there should be less childrens.

Oh yeah! Thank you. I plan on going back, every year. Imagine being in a hot tub while watching a live Heavy Metal Concert. @RoadWarriorRick
Great video!! That brisket looked really good for a cruuse!!
@@jeffreyk5735 thanks. It was really good!

Thanks Rhonda! I know you're going to love Virgin solo. I've met so many solo passengers on there! They all rave about it.
Eek this makes me so excited for the Royal Caribbean cruise next month! I did a Norwegian solo studio cabin and it was a good experience cabin wise
It's going to be a blast!

Do it! You'll have fun and grow more as a person!
Rick, thanks for your great tour. Have booked on Independence, so this vlog was quite helpful!

Appreciate the nice comments Alexis!
I always sail solo since I like to do what ever I want to do without having to ask anyone if they want to do something.
@@kevinodonnell5205 it's really nice!!
