Thanks for showing! Isn't the question more, why not get this bike for the road as well. Just put some other wheels on it for the road and have another for gravel. Of course its not a thoroughbred road race bike but for a lot of people, this will suffice 😀
One thing I may have missed in your video is frame size? Thanks for putting this one out in such detail, it's a great help in determining a purchase. Thanks!
Now that you’ve ridden several high end bikes could you make a video giving the pros and cons of all of them and things to look out for if someone is in the market to purchase?
Could you provide some more detail about the read derailleur mount.. I think you said you did a direct mount or something. I like this bike and your build and I am really serious about this detail that I just didn’t understand and couldn’t see in the video. Please
I agree on the 2x, even on hilly gravel sites, 34/34 will do the trick, and for "real hardcore "gravel" i will jump on the MTB anyway. A gravel ride for me in my area is 30% tarmac, the 1x, in my opinion is not super efficient. Congrats on the build, looking super.
Hi Rony! Been anticipating this video for your thoughts on the OG. I'm considering getting this bike as a replacement for my mid-range road bike/as an all road bike. I ride mostly road but I'd like the option of gravel. Do you think this bike would replace a road bike (for fast but non-competitive riding) or should I stick to my road bike?
There's only a point in a all doit all gravel bike bb usually is a bit lower so you should be careful when cornering. I'm also looking for a similar solution
Just seeing this video, I'm late to the party! Beautiful bike, I love the aero looks. I've seen reviews saying the bike is really stiff and harsh and uncomfortable to ride gravel. What's been your experience?
You know what I like about Gravel Bikes?! Is that you could always convert a Gravel Bike into a Road Bike. But you can't always convert a Road Bike into a Gravel Bike. I'm talking about Rim/Tire width capabilities.
It doesn't always feel great either- I found that I didn't enjoy gravel riding with my domane until i tried the aspero now I feel quick nimble light and its the gravel riding I want!
On the LS gravel bike did you have to re-dish your rear wheel over to the disc side of the chain stay to rub wider tires due to the asymmetrical bottom bracket?
@@ronykuba well in order for me to fit anything over a 38mm I have had to dish my rear wheel extremely far left to the disc side. I have broken 2 wheelsets and I’m starting to believe it is bc of the spoke tension from dishing the wheel. I have contacted factor. Waiting to see what they will do. And yes both wheels were dished correctly (centered) before I had to dish them to the disc side to fit a wide tire.
Ronald, it is once again great video, but I would lke to ask about Enve AG25 wheels I noticed on LS hanging on a wall. If you have experience with them, how you rate them?
@@ronykuba Any close up photo you could share of the FD & tire clearance with the zip-tie solution you used? I'm planning to try something similar and was interested in your approach.

Well, it would be perfectly fine to be honest

It’s size 52

I could try, but that’s not really a fair comparison as they’re spread 6 years apart.
@@ronykuba How about The LS vs the Ostro Gravel ?
@@ddxleoncuprar that’s in the pipeline

It’s a direct mound hanger for Shimano RDs
5:53 I think you mean lights camera action ;)
Couldn’t resist.
Haha

Very nice gravel bike 👌👏
Thanks 🙏
About 3 months ago, I got the Trek Checkpoint SLR9 eTap gravel bike, and I absolutely love it.
👍

Hi, it has basically road geometry and works very well on road
@@ronykuba Glad to hear it. Your thoughts really help in making my decision. Keep up the great videos!

Its surprising that the rear der went into crash mode during jumps. This rear der is used also in CX bikes.
Yes, I didn’t expect that either

I don’t know, I can’t really say the same. It’s race bike, so it’s stiff of course, but 95% of the compliance comes from the tires anyway.
Hi! What type of Derailleur Hanger is on the factor? There is no information on the website that I can find. Thank you!
Hi. Direct mount
Great video Ronald! How would you compare it with LS?
Thanks! It handles better and it’s more compliant
@@ronykuba Hi Ronald! Do you really mean Ostro Gravel is more compliant than LS?
@@jou3708 yes
Congratulations man , nice bike , i think next Year which Grx 12 it's perfect. Shimano need too long for the newst 12 Grx.
Thanks
What do you think about "High" level chinese wheels? Like farsports, Ican, Luv?
I have never used any of those and I am not planning to
How is the handling? I am about to put 38cm handlebars on the gravel bike
It’s great
What size are you in reference to the bike? Just curious how factor’s sizing compares to other brands.
It’s a 52

No, wheel dish has nothing to do with the BB being asymmetric

Can you run a 52/36 on the bike? I would buy it for gravelracing.
Yes
Great content as always Ronald. How wide tyres can you fit with that front derailleur?
Thanks. Probably around 45mm

Hey Ronnie. So could you use this one bike to race gravel and road/crits? It’s almost the same frame weight as the ostro road yah?
Hi, yes
Great video. Is it heavier or lighter than the LS?
Thanks. It’s more or less the same weight
So, do you really need an aero gravel bike? (Very nice bike! Too expensive frameset, imho)
I certainly do
T'as le poids de cette configuration 🤔 ???
8kg
Um no i sont think you go fast enough to take advantage of the aero
1) I do
2) that’s not how aero works

Well, I want one and that’s enough
