  • Luke 20 is all about confrontation: in the middle of the crowded temple court, Jesus addressed the Pharisees and Sadducees' pointed questions with sharp wisdom and divine discernment. Mere days before His crucifixion, we also see Jesus expose the sin of His chosen people and discuss the topics of baptism, taxes, and the resurrection of the dead.
This teaching is from our series 42 Luke - 2014 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

Thank You Jesus Christ Son of God and David. You are just too much. I am not perfect and I don’t want to be perfect on earth so that it doesn’t get into my head and I start feeling superior than others.
Let me do well enough to pass through the heavenly gate, amen. I love you Jesus.
Thank You for using Pastor Skip to teach bible. Give us more wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Your words.

It's July, 2018 and it seems like the same story is being acted out on the political stage.

I am going to continue to listen to this lesson but I must say up front you should know that Jesus was not crucified on a Friday this is a question that all of us know the answer to a ready I cannot spend three days and three nights in the tomb if he was crucified on Friday and Rose on Sunday of course the truth is proven when you figure out which Sabbath they were really referring to it was not a Saturday Sabbath I'll leave it at that God bless I hope I can enjoy the rest of your lesson

That's funny all you have to say is Saturday is the Sabbath you need to study.I gave you the clue All you have to do is think it through and study Everybody knows the 7th day is the sabbath but there were many sabbaths at the end of every festival there's a sabbath Let's go back to the beginning 3 days and 3 nights it's impossible if he was put into the grave on Friday night…. Impossible impossible common sense says think about it study it the the answer is the sabbath that we're referring to in The Bible was not the Saturday sabbathe Saturday 7th it was the Thursday 7th Which came at the end of the festival remember remember they did not want to kill Jesus because they were celebrating the festival of unleaven bread and at the end of the festival There is a sabbath this is a sabbath that we're referring to in The Bible have a blessed day

@@wanesweb I hope you’ve been revealed the answer as He has to us: days for the Jews are counted from sundown to sundown, that’s why the sabbath starts at sundown the night before. (For us still Friday) Therefore His death prior to the sabbath was sundown Thursday to sundown Friday. Get it? Keep praying for answers. God bless those who still seek Him without question.
