1#.Could the Yiga clan members the ones that just sit there until you interact with them be considered an NPC/Traveller? #2. My favorite NPC/Traveller is probably that lady who gets mad when you step on her flowers.

My favorite NPC is Dorian, one of Impa's guards. He has a really interesting backstory, having formerly been a part of the Yiga before leaving when he fell in love. Of course, his wife ended up getting killed by the Yiga, and if that wasn't bad enough, he was forced to give the Yiga inside information in order to keep his daughters safe.

What about that kid who want to see all types of weapons? I forget his name but he seems to know a lot about the weapons around Hyrule most of which are only used by monsters and one that can only be obtained at the Akkala tech lab. There is something about him. He had knowledge beyond his years. His grand father he speaks of so often must have either be Robbie or knew Robbie very well.

I certainly can't prove it, but I've long liked to believe Hino is actually a Yiga in disguise. Granted, usually when one of these incognito assassins chats with Link, they drop their disguise, and attempt to cut the Hero down, but maybe this one is either too deep a mole to be allowed to assault him, himself, or he's just unable to recognize his quarry; maybe he's been there even longer, being eyes and ears, and didn't get the memo, or maybe he's just a different kind of Yjga dumb. As followers of Ganon, and worshipers of his might, it might make sense for the Yiga to understand what the Blood Moon means, and to better coordinate their own efforts around when certain monsters will respawn, as it's likely in-world that the Bokos, Lizals, Moblins, and Guardians are unaware to spare THESE humans their wrath. Predicting when the moon will happen, and even reveling in the stirring of Ganon's power, seems like something the arcane Yiga might be into, and maybe he's just too verbally in clumsy to conceal his zeal, though others around him haven't seemed to feel a need to drive him off, so maybe they don't realize, or are too scared. Having a permanent spy on the road to where Link might travel also helps, since SOMEONE has to tell them he's active, and there aren't any Yiga on the Plateau, I don't think.

The NPCs are one of the more underrated aspects of Breath of the Wild, I think. People dismiss them because there aren't many elaborate quests or detailed schedules like Majora's Mask, but it's really impressive how many unique characters with their own names and lines there are considering how many more NPCs there are in this game in comparison to all the previous Zelda titles. They all feel like they have their own lives and interests, too, and even after playing the game for hundreds of hours I've still learned about new lines I didn't know certain NPCs had.

8:35 That's a good point you make here, seeing how the current NPCs have grown (or not) in the sequel. If it takes place a longer period of time after BotW then it would be cool to see how everyone has been doing all this time. Expanded towns, kids growing up, more settlements, cooks getting better at cooking. When the game is out it would make for some cool comparison videos.

I'd love to see Koko and Cottla more grown-up. It'd be nice to find a taller, more well-adjusted Koko who can articulate her thoughts and feelings better, and a Cottla with a better grasp on what happened to her mother (possibly also with a heartbreaking line about how when trying to picture her mom, she can only see Koko).
I think it would also be neat to see the little Gerudo kids growing up and starting to learn their mothers' trades, as well as possibly taking tween/teen-level classes from Ashai. And, of course, I'd love to see Riju grow more into her role as Chief (without losing her sweetness and love of stuffed animals).

Hello, I wanted to write you this theory:
Based on what happened in Wind Waker having to get 8 shards of the Tri-Force of Courage. I find the outfit that Link is wearing very curious. He has 9 triangles on the lower front. I get the impression that 6 triangles are related to get the Tri-force in underground temples of a thematic nature towards the characters of the sages and another 3 temples in the respective heavens to the dragons to restore the master sword. That is 9 temples in total and the final temple. It seems logical these arguments totally based on my hunch.

Funny thing about Brigo is that he has two sets of dialogue in that scenario, and I think they're decided by whether you talk to him before climbing the ledge or not.
I can't remember the exact quote, but he says "i'm young, but you're younger" and goes on to say how he has a feeling that Link could really change the world. That's the dialogue I got on my first playthrough and it really stuck with me, and I remember how I didn't talk to him first because I was so focused on "omg where can i explore next" like we all were at launch. Every other time I've talked to him I feel like the dialogue you showed is what I got instead. If course I could be completely wrong about the trigger, but that's just how it seems to me from my personal playing experience

The NPC that stops people from jumping off of bridge is actually based off of a real person who is known to have stopped hundreds of people from jumping to their death

My fav NPCs are that girl that travels to make Zelda's peregrination towards the goddess fountains (I like to find her on random paths traveling by foot) and that old zora priest that you can help to move out of the domain and then will let you sleep in his inn for free.

I was so sure I would know about all these NPCs, only to find out I didn’t know about the old lady in Hateno! I just remembered her as the lady who insisted I could use the outdoor cooking station near her. I so wanted to know about the time right after the Calamity and there she was the whole time 🤦🏽‍♀️

You forgot to mention that Briggo is actually based on a real person. Deputy Kevin Briggs is a police officer who patrols the Golden Gate Bridge on foot and has talked hundreds of people out of jumping to their deaths. That’s why Nintendo decided to immortalize him in the realm of Hyrule forever.

What if Hino was actually BORN during a Blood Moon? Then, in a sense perhaps, he does have a connection with it in his blood, as he was born at a time when malice-filled things are re-born.

Well, I certainly didn't expect Hino (who I constantly went to while trying to deal with that Blood Moon shrine) to act like that... Certainly makes me curious if they'll have a similar concept with a similar NPC for BOTW2... because I wouldn't put it past them to put in some kind of nightmare fuel...

I think it would be a really cool idea if you made a video on the route that people who were traveling from castle town to hateno village because of the destruction of hyrule and the types of hardships they would face during that trek. because ya know, ppl in modern day society typically move as far as possible to get away from like a hurricane or another natural disasters, and it would be cool to learn about how people in Hyrule would go about doing the same thing.

Day 3 of trying to get you to rate my theory 😛
The Green Hand/Ganondorf Seal is a part of the Spirit of the Hero!
Now, I have two theories/wild speculation ahah. First, the Green Hand. Ganon/Ganondorf reappearing every few millenia, certainly the Sheikah and the royal family understood how to trap Ganondorf instead setting up the timer for the next reincarnation. So they don't kill him, they trap him. By extracting a part of the Spirit of the Hero, keeping Ganondorf in check without completely killing him. We know that Sheikah were able to use someone life force or something to create very real "item", why not a magical seal? That's why the hand let go of Ganondorf body to save Zelda while she falls, because the Hero has to save her, but could not do so completely because Link being there as well must have been like a huge magnet for the hand, to try to reform with his other part. Sensing that Link has been damaged by Malice too deeply, it decided to stay with him to help him heal. And the Golden kinda bracelet is Sheikah made and have a few magical effects powered by the Spirit of the Hero. That's why my guess for a Tittle would be "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit of the Hero"
Second wild guess, The Four Sword is coming back. We have been showed how badly the Master Sword is now. It doesn't even look usable. But we also know, something they really weren't subtle about, that Fi is still in there (and possibly with Demise). They need a new "home" for her. What other weapon would be as perfect as the Four Sword? And in this game, you need to give the Four Sword the three Goddesses blessing to make it available to Fi (could mean a redesign for Fi, which could be very cool to keep her "fresh"). This could also implies that Demise also break free, and now we have to fight the joined force of Ganondorf and Demise. But this time something would be different. This time, with a Sword that has both the Enchantment of the Elements, but also the Golden Goddesses blessing, it could be enough to kill completely Demise, not needing to trap him. The creator of the curse now dead, Ganondorf can be killed once and for all. The Picori Blade came from the Sky, exactly where we're going in the next game. Maybe the Four Sword has been brought back up in the Sky in the time between Minish Cap and now, would not be impossible, even the Master Sword moved a few times.
Yeah, Green Hand being the Spirit of the Hero and the Four Sword coming back to break the curse that has been afflicting Hyrule since the beginning of times.
The Legend of Zelda, Spirit of the Hero. Curious to see what you think about that ahah

The're a npc at the ancient fort hateno close to the tiny house when you pass by it
He's talking a lot about Link and what happened has the miracle of the fort hateno,he's referecing link(at least in french) as "the Knight" and of the fact that's "he" must be really powerful and wish to be at that time to fight with him(for what i know,he's never aware at all tha't the knight he is talking about is right in front of him)
I find that really cool,it's really tell that link is not anyone,he is the choseen hero and has sacrifice this live to save everyone !
Hope that's next time someone will talk about it x)
(Also cool video!i really like the warning that's the guard of the bridge is telling, actually people with s**cide thought that have Come accross with this have actually be saved, thank's to that,so full respect to him )
PS:i have recheck and this name(i repeat,at least in french ) is Euptus

Hey HG, i have a question or theory if, by some chance you may see this. Where do the bodies of link go when he passes on? Its been something thats been bothering me since twilight princess, where the heros shade informs he was burried in his armor.. but what about the rest of the interations? Is there a tomb for each individual links, or is there a specific crypt or necropolis that hes taken to, and if so by who? I hope you dont mind me asking, perhaps this could be a dungeon in botw2, its just something in my head i wanted to share.
