mossman381 The 3M wheels that I have look much stronger. They it’s like a rubbery porous kind of fiber thing. Maybe they come in different grades like sandpaper. The ones I have are probably only 3 or 4 inches and grind paint and rust well.
Yup, looks good for what this truck is. I would rather have dents than rust. Only thing I don't like is the color matched white shows all the dirt. Oh well.
I've been wanting to do color matched Raptor Liner on all the armor (bumpers/Rock sliders/etc) on the Jeep and Yukon for a while now. Just haven't taken the plunge yet. I'll do it eventually.
It's not cheap stuff. I am trying to get a good technique on spraying it. It's hard to take your time spraying when you have less than an hour to take tape off. The warmer it is the less time you have.
I would probably not do a color match bedliner in white again. It shows all the dirt. It's not going to be as strong as pro liners. It's stronger than spray can and I am happy with the results so far for the cost.
Sand blasting is a bit overkill I think. This bed had rust in the floor but it was from someone hauling metal. You can't put this Raptor liner on bare metal.
i ran across this video series when looking for tips for repairing my s10, just picked up a 1998 for borderline free (did some labor to get the truck) and need to repair some rust and a few other dumb things, out of curiosity is this truck still around today?
What pressure do you spary at. I sparied mine at 45psi it had a nice texture almost look like linex I was very please with the way it turn out. I am thinking of spraying my whole truck with it
Hi! I was wondering if you plan on getting one of the new 2018 ranger 1000 and building it up this summer? We got one and they are a ton of fun and really reliable. I strongly reccomend one
I was actually thinking about getting an older Ranger. I am not really a speed demon. Every Ranger I have had was fun. They are great machines new and old.
Curious to see how it holds up to sunlight. I’ve heard that it turns yellow after time from sun exposure. Kind of wanting to do white bedliner alone the bottom of my panels like you did

Great video, but want this show scratches and stains?
It does show dirt pretty bad. Didn't think of that at the time. I would never color match any light colors again. Dark colors should work though.
3M makes a good rust and paint removal wheel.
That wheel might be 3M.

It looks fine with the bed mat installed.

im curious about the raptor liner, but its half the price of a turn key line x in parts alone around here

I'll probably sandblast the whole thing when i do mine, still a few jobs before my own truck gets some love though

Thanks for the video. Can this liner be rolled or brushed on or only sprayed?
I have only sprayed it.

I still have this truck.
Had to pause the video at the intro and say it looks like you're living the dream! Hello from california lol.
Not sure it's a dream but I am trying to enjoy life. Hello from Wisconsin.
mossman381 I appreciate your content keep up the good work friend.
How did the epoxy work,
They say use acid etch primer on the bare metal
You can use etching primer. I use to do that but epoxy has become the primer of choice for most on bare metal. I haven't noticed any problems.
Becoming as nice as Project Mini Me
It is but I wish it was 4x4.

I did it the same as the sides 60psi. The distance you hold the gun from the surface also makes the texture different.

How is it to washed? Does it stay White or turn tanish?
It washes easily. Just sprayed it so don't know about fade.

The bed will be covered. I hope it's doesn't fade. It could be clear coated.
@@mossman381 update?
@@Trueblendss It has held up pretty good. I don't believe it has yellowed any and it's been outside almost every day since this video.
Cool Good work.
