When it's a video game and NOT a movie where YOU, the player HAS to perform to the same level as the footage?! Nah... the spoiler effect is much less! :.D
I know you're being sarcastic, but that would totally sell it for me! Just like TH-cam in modern times, if I watch a good portion of a game, such as Mass Effect, and I don't want to play it because I've already seen enough and it doesn't look that great to play, I won't buy it, and that's the developers fault. But if it looks like there's more than just long cutscenes and good graphics and it genuinely looks *fun* to play and I can't stop watching other people play, such as Red Dead Redemption or Zelda, I'll buy it. Back in the 90's I remember watching my friends play all the way through StarFox and Sonic 2 *multiple* times and it just made me want to play the game all the more!
Apparently Nintendo were inspired by the supermarionation shows of the 1960s and they did hope that Gerry Anderson and ITV would talk with Nintendo on making it as a puppet series. I would love to see it done like nebula-75, with string puppets.
It's funny, they keep changing up the character designs of every StarFox character *besides* Slippy since StarFox 64, yet he's the only one I want to see get a redesign, namely back to his original look. He actually looked pretty cool in his original design, for a frog anyway.
@@Ireland.sflover or maybe because fox accidentaly said "fuck it" instead of "sate" because this promo probably takes place before the first mission in corneria and he wanted to start already
Check out the Las Vegas convention video about htis game! You can even hear the Starfox theme music form Starfox 64 there, a full four years before Starfox 64 came out!!!!
Love how sometimes the youtube translation is spot on and other times it is garble.
Omg it’s bosh
How are these puppets better than the ones for the Jim Henson ad.
Mire surreal and realistic.
😵
@@gochem3013 huh?
No clue
Because the puppeteer's hand looks actually comfortable in them and there more cuter and fluffier.
Moving fox scenes at 02:09, 04:07, 09:10 and 10:27.
The 9:10 one is actually good since it shows off the other puppets, too.
@@trubb225 True, though it starts with Fox like the other scenes, that's why I listed it as such, since he's also in it.
@@David315842 indeed! I might make one for the other puppets o7
@@trubb225 Cool. :)
I want to play this video on an old CRT TV in my room 24/7, holy shit, this is amazing.
I've got an idea, let's show off the entire game in the store and some of the ending. That'll sell it.
sakipooh Perhaps that's what Japanese marketing was like at the time... I think.
Trailers for movies over there do the exact same thing.

@@keybyss98 I should have been born Japanese then.
Known as Star Wing in the Europe
Slippy's Japanese voice is very good!!
Wow, they actually managed to make the SNES puppets look scarier than they initially were.
Patch93 I'm glad they went with a more Muppet esque concept for the Nintendo E3 Digital event
Well, the other type puppet is called a Muppet. Compared to the E3 2015 puppets, the puppets shown on this video are more realistic.
The old VHS filter and lack of English context (unless you know Japanese) doesn’t help.

He got a redesign in 64 actually he originally had a purple collar before getting replaced to a red scarf.
Fox is really cute.
i know right?
@@kawanxros yesss, also Slippy looks a lot a like Mr Toad (from the 1980s stop motion version of wind and the willows lol)

I think this is the first game (or promo for a game, in this case) I've seen that's felt the need to explain how a boss health meter works.
9:10 Did Fox just say "Fuck it"?
it sounds more like "Sate" to me
because he speaks japanese so...
Omg it did sound like he said that, Fox just needs a break man, he's been through too much in his life.

I checked out the video uploaded by a user named Grooveraider 14 years ago, but I couldn't make out the 64 theme in it, the audio quality was tricky.
This game was ahead of its time ❤
Star Fox but real
(Andrew Oikonny») "Uncle Andorf!!"
Fox kinda sounded a bit too old for a 25-year-old man (I heard that Fox in this timeline was 25 years old)
SNES star fox will always top any star fox game
If you're here for all 4 of the puppets, 1:52 and 9:10 are your timestamps that you're after!
I can definitely see Usagi from Sailor Moon playing Star Fox.
When Nintendo actually ruled the fucking world.
In the 80s yea but not the 90s
It still does.
FOX MACLOUD!!
Wow. They sped up the game footage so it wouldn't be obvious how bad the frame rate really is :P
