He was treated by far the worst by the Emperor. If Angron had been allowed to liberate Nuceria he would've stayed loyal without question. Mortarion for example has basically no redeeming qualities and the Emperor essentially liberated Barbarus for him, as he would've died without the Emperor's help.
The Red Angel was lost the moment those evil slaver bastards mutilated his brain. Hell, standing beside his son in that moment and assist him in killing the Highriders who enslaved his son would've been enough to at least endear himself to Angron into leaving the world behind. That mightve been enough. But nope, no, not the sensible thing to do apparently.
Agree with you word for word. The excuse that the Emperor had planned the entire Heresy all along is in my opinion, just lazy writing. The most powerful psyker in the galaxy really had no excuse not to make better decisions.
Wasn't there a passage from Lorgar saying the Emperor found Angron knee deep in bodies of the eaters of cities?
@Ulfbhert-pl8rj I don't really think Angron at that point would butcher his own. It was only after Big E stole him before the battle that he decided, "Yup, I'm angry shit that wants anyone and everyone to suffer with me now." Plus, this is Lorgar. Who's to say he isn't lying to the audience?
@@michelveilleux123 Oh yea I agree Lorgar is an unreliable source but at the same time as much as its a tragedy that Angron was dealt a shit hand the possibility of also makes it worse and a convenient excuse for authors to do the story better in a retcon
@@Ulfbhert9000 I agree. As much as I originally disliked Angron at first, he actually had a really interesting backstory. I just wish the author made him more like Kharn. Cause Kharn really is the path to Khorne.
i absolutely love these videos
Thankyou so much!
Funny thing is how Lorgar lied through his teeth. He did nothing as Angron snapped and ordered genocide, as If he predicted and wanted Angron to be in a position for elevation. Question is If that was The plan to begin with, OR the moment Angron had The gall to call him weak.
I think Angron’s apotheosis was inevitable but Lorgar certainly guided it in the right direction!
@@TalesOfTerraVA actually this is my take on what happened
When lorgar fell to chaos, much like Magnus his psyche in a sense split but to a subtle degree, showing equal parts lorgar as a sniveling fucker and as a deeply wilful person
Honestly i actually believe lorgar did want to help angron
But when he was near dying, his will broke fully and lorgar decided to go with the ritual
@@lolbots686 In the end lorgar did the same thing as the emperor: it take away angron choice on the matter, "For his own good". Lorgar is every bit awfull like his father.
My S tier primarchs
1. Conrad kurze
2. Perturabo
3. Hawk boy
4. Lorgar because he started the heresy
Where would we be without Lorgar!
Really nice narration
Thankyou! Stay tuned for more. Curze and Sanguinius up next!
Angron backstory ,the eldar attack, getting enslaved, the butcher's nails. He always has the most tragic back story. Also I believe that BIG E didn't save angron's life but ruined he death.
A poignant way of putting it.
@@TalesOfTerraVA and a little disturbing that the only real kindness he received was from lorgar
I hate that I used to believe the memes that Angron was the most worthless primarch cause really he’s the saddest and borderline deepest story of a primarch and their fall. He was meant for so much more
He was dealt a pretty terrible hand by a pretty terrible galaxy.
Angron and Kurze got hosed but Lorgar deserves everything Corvus has planned for him
Lorgar deserved an apology.
@@olknoxlo corvus doesn't have any apologies but has a lot of something else and I don't think Lorgar wants it...hahaha
@@street1111 It’s not Corvus that should apologize to Lorgar, It was the emperor for forcing his entire legion to be shamed infront of the Ultramarines. Fingers crossed we have a good writer to explore Lorgar’s complexity when he next makes his appearance.
@@olknoxlo point taken but Kurze deserves an apology also at least he didn't fall to chaos
@@street1111 Curze needed to not be alone. He needed companionship more than any other.
I feel like your rendition of Angron has a bit of Machoman in him.
Hahaha I hear it 😂
This was amazing, but in my opinion you stopped before the best part lol
Haha it was really hard to choose which parts to do here! Was so much more I could’ve done but trying to keep the videos a certain length at the moment. Longer ones to come in the future I’m sure!
Out of 20 primarchs....Angron is the only failure
I guess it depends how you define failure! Mortarion also failed to liberate his homeworld without the Emperor's help, so we could throw his lot in as well. I think Angron had the worst hand out of them all though. Curze had the option to be truly just, but Angron was fucked from the start.
@@TalesOfTerraVA Konrad's power litteraly MELT HIS BRAIN! If you don't suffer from any kind of mental illness is hard for a normal person to understand Konrad.Angron failed to escape, revolt, conquer! After 200 years the name Angron means nothing to the planet
Don't forget about primarchs II and XI
As bad as Angron sucks, he wasn't literally wiped from existence and memory
@@FanOHeemeyer they were bcs they tried to idk.... OVERTHROW THE IMPERIUM?
@@apolex8065
Primarch 2 & 11?
No
In the lore, they were left as mysteries as to who they were and why they were censured
That way GW let's have a chance to fill in the blanks with homebrew primarchs and legions in their own head canons
Love this channel!
Thankyou brother!
