    hi car cleaning guru i have just found your channel i have a t5 van which I am always trying to keep clean so your videos are very useful thanks for taking the time to make them.

      I'd like to get a Caddy myself and do a video series following the build & kit out!

    I really like how you use the crevice tool back and forth like a highlighter. I have only used this tool for crevices, not for surfaces like this. I am going to try it this way. The results on your video look fantastic!

      @CarCleaningGuru  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Requires a little more effort but gives a deeper clean imo.

      Thank you! I tried this with my home vacuum cleaner (Eureka Mighty Mite) and I got good results as long as pet-hair was not involved. We have one car with black cloth interior and about four years of white and tan pet hair. We may have to go to a professional with this. I tried using a silicone brush, damp microfiber towel and got some of the hair out but not all.
      Thank you for sharing your attention to detail. It is very inspiring. I own a 10 year old family sedan and I certainly have more pride of ownership after cleaning the interior surfaces and all crevices with your methods. Passengers are now amazed to hear my car is 10 years old.

    After applying your general purpose cleaner on the seat and door guards, I noticed if you spray water on the affected area you're about to agitate helps in the soil extraction during vacuuming. I think it may also save up on some time, as well.

    My latest aquisition has a rather damp, musty and I think people smell, ewww,. The upholstery clearly needs this treatment and it will be getting it. As my living room carpet is also in need of tlc I'll hire one of those machines and use it on the car too. Should make quite a difference to it! Music is always divisive and maybe a little more editing would bring the run time down. I know I'm put off sometimes by videos running past the 10 minute mark. 137k subs and nearly half a million views, maybe I'll just keep quiet! :D Thanks for sharing CGC.

After the Vacuum step We hit first the Spots then We Pre-spray, give a couple of minutes on the dwell time. follow by a hand brush and final rinse with the Hot water from the Portable extractor. just using the Apc,brushing and just passing the Vacuum? just giving a constructive Detail tip!

    I do detailing for my job, and i was wondering about your extractor head. Ours doesn't have the edges around the spay nozzle. When the stream hits the upholstery / carpet, it tends to go everywhere. Your plastic piece contains the spray very nicely and keeps the water in one area. What brand of extractor is that, or where do you think i can see some spray guards like the one that's on your extractor nozzle?

      +Tom Hawkins Never used a Dyson myself but I'm sure it would be up to a bit of routine use.

    • @johnmcquay82
      @johnmcquay82 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Car Cleaning Guru The only recommendation I would make with respect the Dyson machines is to avoid the uprights for Vacuuming in a vehicle. As the hose is a collapsible style (which is great for general convenience), the vacuum pulls the hose taught, which I found frustrating at the best of times. As this hose clips onto the base of the machine (with not particularly strong clips I may add), the combination of the suction and the pulling on the hose when vacuuming in a car, can cause the hose to "ping" off. The last time it happened to me, I had to polish out a mark from the paintwork as it hit a body panel while the hose retracted. I invested in a Nilfisk Multi 30T specifically for car cleaning duties. Not the cheapest of machines, but has a lot of bang for the buck, and a whole host of accessories are available. Bags are about 15 pounds for a pack of 3; and they hold a lot of waste. :-)

    Haha this is an oldie..
    Sounding more like a TV presenter than our well known Car Cleaning Guru.. lol.. Anyway I've been going through your vids looking to find products..
    Probably watched all your vids at least twice over the past year..
    Your opinion and choice is the best on TH-cam so always check your content first.. So question.. What is your go to upholstery cleaner? and is it better to add it to the machine (mine being a Bissell spotless Pro.. another of your recommendations) or to use in a spray gun soaking carpet/upholstery then sucking up just using water in the Bissell?
    Thanks for all of your wonderful content and valuable information..
    This time just over a year ago I had a bucket, a sponge and a bottle of turtle shampoo/wax now my tiny study room is packed full of car cleaning products, chemicals and detailing equipment lol
    Cheers Buddy.

    • @CarCleaningGuru
      @CarCleaningGuru  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great! I haven't done any videos featuring them (yet) but they're a highly effective way of removing deeply ingrained dirt from many areas of a car without having to use chemicals or get things wet.

      CarCleaningGuru Thanks for the quick reply! Going to clean my car tomorrow. The interior is caked in mud from the winter but I got a steam machine for my house which I will try on my car. Do you think it is safe to use them over buttons and the center console in general?

    • @CarCleaningGuru
      @CarCleaningGuru  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grant Kidd I think they're generally pretty safe yes. I'd apply the steam through a microfibre towel though and just keep it moving over the surface.

    What if a customer had a dog cover over the seats. Would you remove them? Also , do you clean the inside of the glove box? Do you include the trunk as interior? If so, do you remove everything from there.

    • @CarCleaningGuru
      @CarCleaningGuru  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Michael Hinchey I include the trunk, generally clean the inside of the glove box unless it's packed full of shite, and it would depend on what the customer wanted and how much they were paying to remove seats and clean underneath them etc.

    • @michaelhinchey
      @michaelhinchey 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Car Cleaning Guru sorry I didn't mean remove the seats. I meant if they had seat covers. Would you remove the covers and also do the seats underneath. Sometimes , the customer may have just a covering of the bench in the backseat.

    Nice video, horrible music...if you want millions of hits, dump the music and leave real vacuum and cleaning sounds. The voice narration is fine but lose the cheesy sound affect. Most important, after you restore real sound list this under ASMR affect, it would be an amazing video for those who experience autonomous sensory meridian response.

    Nothing special, you didn't need a 18 min video, you could have just said do what you normally do, just take your time

      170k+ views on a monetised video says otherwise. Also, check out some of my more recent videos as this was filmed a good number of years ago now and we all have to start somewhere.

      James Cronin That's assuming everyone stubbornly sat through the entire 18 minutes like yourself, knowing it was wasting their time, which, as my analytics thankfully illustrate, they didn't. I apologise for wasting 18 minutes of your life - that certainly wasn't my intention when I made this video all those years ago but as I've already said, I recommend you check out some of my more recent videos where I've taken much of the constructive criticism on board to hopefully make my content more informative and less of a waste of peoples valuable time :)

      at least you admitted it was a complete waste of time. that's the 1st step.

      CarCleaningGuru i do this for a living too, and i still found your video interesting, i gues these guys came here looking for a top tip that can obliterate an interior for less than 50p and takes less than 30 seconds. keep up the good work
