Ironically it was this ride from Hamilton, done clean at the time, enabled him to become part of the inner circle at USPS who had access to the doping program.
I will never understand if people were just playing the "dont see" monkey, but if Festina were doping, how come no one said "well, i guess everyone is aswell"
The fact that Festina said they were doing it in a medically controlled manner to prevent the riders doing it themselves speaks volumes about what was going on. Guess it sunk in as Lance won next 😆
20 minute focus on festina and doping, hoping it isnt more widespread, and we return to the racing to the start time of Tyler Hamilton 🤣

I appreciate this highlight reel of some of the notable moments of the 1998 tour. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pantani and Massi were descending like madmen in slick conditions in the last stage of this vid. Just crazy. Marco only picked up 23 seconds too
Thanks for this upload - Cheers
Is Phil Liggett still commenting the Tour de France?
He does for NBC in the US
Great reel. Stuey in yellow 💛💛💛
So sad that boardman went out he was on such a form

Well that's exactly what happened, the organisers were forced to look at the other teams. By Festina among others. It was a crazy time.
No helmets on madness. Fond times.
Different breed. Confidence born of great abilities.
49:33 ...cool farm animal facials
It’s not the riders mainly, but the race organizers themselves that, ‘bring disrepute to the sport.’
