Leila, Here's an additional tip to make your reports look even better: when you're in the print preview mode and setting up your margins, make sure to check the 'center vertically' and 'center horizontally' options. This will help ensure that your report is perfectly centered and looks polished and professional.
I'm at work, was casually going on a coffee break wondering how I will export a pdf from excel, while out of a sudden, I receive a notification for this video on my cell phone!
I didn't know that page setup could be applied to individual sheets and exported accordingly... Leila you never stop surprising me with these tips, thank you much for sharing!
What a brilliant video Leila - these are exactly the sort of issues that I encounter several times a week. I've watched the vid about half a dozen times, stopping 'n starting, playing with some examples. Boy, is it useful - one of the best you have ever done. BIG thank you 😀.
Another great video!! I have a suggestion for a future video and that is about working with shapes in Excel. I have created a couple of documents that contain a lot of shapes. I find it rather frustrating trying to use the tools in Excel to group, size, align them, snap them into a cell so they look good, and many other things. It never seems to do what I want it to do when trying to align vertically, copying groups of shapes and then trying to align them, search for text in shapes by hitting control F....... I realize there are better programs to do what I am doing (Visio....) but I want to do it in Excel. I cannot be the only one having problems with shapes and I would love for you to do a video to help me get better. Love your channel.
For this Alt-V-N, Alt-V-P, and Alt-F-U were rather universally used by high performance users prior to the Microsoft De-productivity Act of 2007. They still exist and are invaluable when you don't want to needlessly burn productive time hunting things down in the psychedelic ribbon categorizations. (FYI you formerly would find EVERY shortcut by simply arrowing through menus - utterly priceless when you remembered only the start of a shortcut, e.g. alt-D or alt-D-F. Now you have to memorize entire shortcut sequences, or memorize where items are hidden in ribbons.)
Best Practice Tips was so important in me understanding that this video is exactly for me. Problem targeted and presented well to further increase our interest in the solution. Thank you!
Leila, with your so useful and easy to follow tip's, my life goes easyer and much, much more professional :) Thank's for non-selfish share of knowledge. Regards from New Zealand :)
Thanks Leila , this is really informative, clear and concise. Can you please instruct the AAA gaming industry that this is what actual quality content looks like. 😁
I think the easiest way is tapping F12 key and then setting the file type as PDF and save. Also you can do this with F12>TAB>P>Enter. In seconds. All done.
I am familiar with several of the features presented but still picked up a few 'Tips & Tricks' ... very helpful (as usual). So once again ... thank you ... thank you ... thank you ... 😍😍😍
Hi Leila, This is Kunal from India. Although, this tutorial was informative but it lacks the usual USP like other videos. Would like to suggest a thing... Adding infographics/shapes & setting them in PDF is a daunting task in itself. Will you please share a video to ease such tasks? Thanks.
>>Dear Ms. Gharani: I have learned a great deal from your tutorials, so here is a thought for YOUR PDF work: add horizontal and vertical centering to fit those pages that are off-set right, left or top, bottom. Simply use the margin settings for this . >>Most respectfully yours, NHG
Great info! But does this solve the problem of Excel distorting shapes when you print them? I tried making round labels by using a barcode scanner to enter barcodes that were linked to semicircular Wordart. It was very frustrating. Going to View>Page Layout helps, but it isn't perfect.
Thanks Leila for this tutorial, it is very nice and useful. I am asking could you do a video on how to perfectly print a cover page, sometimes when printing is not fit on the entire paper Please 🙏🙏🙏
Protip: make all your data columns the same width, and all your data rows the same height. It looks much more professional and readable with the uniformity.
Hi Leila! Please make a video on convert PDF to Excel this is a most common issue when you convert back pdf to excel there is no option of converting Kindly make video. Love From Pakistan
Well, thats true. It requires PowerQuery skills. Looks simple, but needs quite an effort to convert depending upon the type & size of the PDF file. Keep exploring! ☺️
This is great info! My experience has been, though, that Excel's built in pdf print/save/export doesn't consistently respect the manual page breaks I've inserted, which is sometimes (but not even always) solved by using an external excel to pdf tool. Any tips/reasons why that may be happening?
Great Leila! I actually had issues doing the opposite just last week. I converted PDF to excel: I deleted it faster than the speed of sound lol. Would you please make this your homework, Leila😂? To spice it up a bit: the PDF had some handwriting over it😮.
Hello Leila, I love all your excel tips, keep doing the good work. I would like to ask, I was doing FILTER Function inside of SUM Function for my dynamic Financial Performance report. Is it better to use those functions for multiple criteria or just using SUMIFS? I don't know if that will impact performance for the 2 years of data
I usually use publish option to print, because it allows me to do it in one click without any questions asked. However, I wonder whether there is any pros/cons between these 3 type of pdf making methods in terms of the resultant pdf file. I mean size of the file, quality of the tables and pictures, converting them back to excel files.
Please Help - could you please make a video on Excel VBA how to print an existing PDF to a selected folder using Microsoft PDF printer. Thank you for any help you can provided.
Nice vid :) But it only easiest way to print excel to PDF. The biggest issue of excel, is to insert a page number in a specyfic cell of out worksheet. Or even better, in the header (made from few rows) reapeted or each printing page, in MS Word it was quite easy, but in Excel, in my opinion, it can't be done without VBA.
After you selected the print area, you can select to print only page 1 because page 2 has no info at all as far as I can see (3.24). So you dont have to scale anything anymore.
Another well done video! Is there a solution to import PDF that has hyperlinks that will import with the file? There doesn't seem to be without writing code😢

I didn't know that page setup could be applied to individual sheets and exported accordingly... Leila you never stop surprising me with these tips, thank you much for sharing!

Same here. Never knew page settings can be applied to individual pages before printing.

That 3rd example really helped me. What if i want certain rows at the bottom (along with certain rows at top) need to appear on every page??
with editable pdf software you can add page numbers. you can also set book marks.
Great Leila! I actually had issues doing the opposite just last week. I converted PDF to excel: I deleted it faster than the speed of sound lol. Would you please make this your homework, Leila😂? To spice it up a bit: the PDF had some handwriting over it😮.
I started this homework some time ago 😁: th-cam.com/video/p2304BjvrB8/w-d-xo.html

Great video. Is it also possible to add a scope to the headers of a table to fullfill the PDF/UA norm?
I learned it the hard way at a big 4 accounting firm to fit one one page, then its 5% zoomed out, and huhhhhhhhhhh . Thx for this.
Please Help - could you please make a video on Excel VBA how to print an existing PDF to a selected folder using Microsoft PDF printer. Thank you for any help you can provided.

But when I convert my Excel file to pdf the horizontal and vertical lines didn’t show In pdf? Please mention that
Another well done video!
Is there a solution to import PDF that has hyperlinks that will import with the file? There doesn't seem to be without writing code😢
