  • As mentioned in the video and below this creation is powered by buwizz. The folks over there were kind enough to send me a selection of their products for testing and review. So far I am loving them! The motors are insanely powerful (stronger than even the legendary Lego buggy motors) and fast! The units are also neat; a compact, self contained rechargeable battery and receiver (each unit has 4 or 6 motors depending on the model)! The units connect via Bluetooth to an app on your portable device. Buwizz also boosts the speed and power of your other motors!
If you want to learn more about Buwizz or perhaps even get one for yourself use the affiliate link below or head to my Instagram :)

Also here is a quick rundown of the models functions & specs (so far)
-RC 8x8 Drive (using a buwizz motor)
-Pneumatic diff. locks on each axle
    -Articulated steering via 2 LLAs
-Functional 2 stage snow blower powered by a second buwizz motor
-Adjustable height and angle of the blower
-A semi adjustable Shute to direct the snow
-RC control via a Buwizz 3.0
    -Measures over 90 cm long
If you have any questions or suggestions I would love to hear from you in the comments section below!
Thanks again for watching & reading!

Very nice build. Actually working Lego snowblowers are quite rare.
Are both the auger and the impeller driven by one single Buwizz motor? Are you using any transmission to gear it up or down? I have seen models where 2 Lego buggy motor were used, but still needed to be geared up for the right RPM.
Also what diameter are you using for the impeller and how did you get the housing somewhat round?
Sorry for all these questions. It's just I've been wanting to build a working snowblower as an attachment for the unimog for some time now, but unfortunately I can't afford to pour money into parts in order to experiment much. So I would like to figure out as much as possible before starting to actually build it.

Yeah both are powered by one motor. And like a real blower the two are synchronized. The impeller is 1:1 and then the auger is geared down 8:1. 😃 And I don't mi d the questions, comments are my favorite part about having social media for my Lego XD

@@Bric_workshop Thanks for your prompt answer. To be honest I'm very surprised that one motor can power this alone. Especially given, that the reduction from the impeller shaft to the auger shaft is done using the worm gear. I would have imagined, that due to the high friction caused by the perpendicular motion between the teeth of the gears, the efficiency drops and it takes up quite some power. Guess I was not just a bit wrong here, but good to know.
How many stud is the impeller in diameter? And how many blades does it have?
Sorry again for the questions on the details, your build and the video just gives me so much hope, that I can finally build a snow blower on my own.

@@tobiasrosch9386 Yeah the buwizz motors are incredibly powerful. The impeller on this version was only two blades and 11L in diameter. Also do you have instagram? If so I can send you more detailed information/photos there 😄

Hey, great concept, i saw the l motors, are they from Cada, and how are they holding up do you run them on 12v with the buwizz unit, do you have any pf motor, and are they better and faster than the pf l motors? Thanks

    • @Bric_workshop
      @Bric_workshop  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

-I'm using buwizz batteries for power (the Lego battery packs are just for weight)
-Yes the l motors are from CaDA. I like using them for their increased power as compared to regular Lego L motors . (They are louder though)
-And I usually only run the CaDA motors at 10.5 v since the surge protector kicks in at 12 v occasionally.
Does this answer your question? 😁

Not 100%sure I haven't run into the problem myself, you could try contacting customer support/buwizz directly, they should be able to help 😃
