The problem is people seem to have developed this idea that there's only one color and one path to being a good vocalist. One does not have to have a rough, powerful voice. Everyone has different colors. Appreciate someone with Mani's tone because it only comes around once in awhile. The depth, the smoothness, the emotion. Don't write her off. Or any of the rest of us with softer tones to our voices.
The definition of a hard-working woman. I remember on the X Factor, vocally she had a lot to work on TO ME! I don't know why, I always assumed that she was a dancer first who was learning how to sing. But at the same time, when watching her on TXF I really had that conviction that she would get better after the end of the show because the pressure can easily get to you. I know that having that pressure off my shoulders helped me a lot with my singing. Sometimes you just need to relax and work at your own pace. So hearing her sing after so many years, I can honestly tell that she's come a long way. She has finally found her voice. A sultry, soothing and deep tone with a colorful lower register and beautiful falsettos that are never misplaced! Even more, she has also trained her ear because I can hear and feel how her approach to music and singing are completely different from 2012. The emotion she's able to convey is just beyond. I am really proud!
