I know it's because of the mod, but I do think being set back to lv1 (or base level of whatever your character was) should be an option for ng+ players. It would give more incentive to rechallenge the game while also fixing builds and/or levels you might have messed up post game.

Well at that point thats the same as just starting a new game. The point of ng+ is to keep that same level but be able to replay the game
