Cheers, yeah its super inconsistent with the auto exposure, some maps are great some are crap. Dinant for example is to bright, Rethmyno is to dark, yet Carentan and Driel look great. I'm still tweaking shit to improve it the best I can because I like it. The way to 'fix it' has to be done in Unreal Engine, and I don't think the devs would have any interest in working on it because the lighting between maps is so different it would be hard to make it work without a massive overhaul of all the lighting on all the maps, and I think if we actually had 'realistic' lighting people wouldn't be happy because they wouldn't be able to see people hiding in the dark. It's a pity though because auto exposure looks so good when it's setup properly. A good auto exposure can make a game look super realistic, just have to look at the viral trailer for Unrecord, yeah that's UE5 not UE4 and it uses Lumen for lighting, but it's the auto exposure that gives it the realistic look when outside, and when transitioning from outside to inside. That's all just opinion and speculation though. Yeah I spend way to much time thinking about this kind of shit haha.
Yeah highly impressed with your work mate.
