    Wsbt does the flutes move around so freaking much? It is very distracting

      Normally, flutes and oboes move often while playing because of a) tuning b) Dynamics c) cause it just looks professional 😂

      I think part has to do with dynamics. It's hard for woodwinds to get much dynamic contrast, so they assist with throwing their whole body into it. The second influence may be it's just expected and we tend to imitate those around us and those we admire, so there's a culture built around it. Finally, and most legit is the flute usually leads the WWQ, so the movements help with starting, stopping, and other tempo changes. Like the conductor of the group. This guy is actually pretty tame to many I've seen.
