the reusable dishwasher thing looks like a VETEX to me, which is very common in my country (Austria, I assume Germany and neighbour states as well). Most people use them for cleaning the table and worktop in the kitchen.
That is so cool! The US is so behind on reusable items, that I always love to hear when other countries already use the items I've never seen before. I'll definitely try it out

This is so smart!!! I have so much crochet and embroidery stuff that that would be perfect!
I really like the pink and green hard cover, but it’s a very specific color combination that I definitely think isn’t that popular. I’m surprised they went with that. Still, I enjoy seeing all the various book boxes together like this. 😊 And I appreciate you still showing the author name since the boycott isn’t about them.
I didn’t like the Owl Crate adult box but enjoyed the other books. Now I have to look up the publisher to see what you’re talking about.😅
Great to see you back in another unboxing video. Luckily I got the Evernight box for the first time and I was so glad as the book is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. It was a phenomenal edition.
I have heard about this whole St Martins Press fiasco but haven’t looked into it too much tbh
I went to put a picture on my Instagram the other day and got my friend to pic check for me and I had to change it so I didn’t get grief as one book was from a “forbidden press”
Totally agree on the aura thing, I get bad migraines and I get these crazy aura wrigglers in my eyes which drive me crazy

So jealous of that Evernight book. It’s STUNNING 😍. I’ve been on the wait list for that box subscription for a bit. That would be amazing to have. I got the YA Fairyloot and OwlCrate books and I think I prefer Fairyloot’s hardcover more. I love the pink on both though.
yeah I've seen so many people are stuck on the waitlist for Evernight. I'm sure people will start dropping out soon. It's pretty new so everyone wants to be part of the fun new subscription

Oh gosh I'm not sure. I feel like most fantasy has smut in it these days. "Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries" is adult fantasy with no smut at all. it can read a bit young to some people. The Daevabad Trilogy by SA Chakraborty doesn't have any if I'm remembering right.

"The Unmaking of June Farrow" has minimal smut

I think I prefer the owl crate version. Just because the end papers appeal to me more. But I am still happy with the very late edition. And I did flip the Dutch jacket so I like the cover. For their adult book, I don't know why they split the key between the top and the bottom of the page edges. I really love skeleton keys though so for me I wanted that feature to be better.
My YA fairyloot got lost in the mail and I’m beyond upset. Hoping I’m not screwed because I’ll be heartbroken to miss out on this book/box. I actually hate the dust jacket cover they did. I don’t like the character art much and I don’t usually like any character art like that on covers anyway. If I’m able to actually get my box 🤞🏼🙏🏼 , this will be the first one I probably flip the dust jacket. I think the inside is WAY more attractive.
Omg noooo!!!! 😭 Please please please update me and let me know if they replace your lost box. I guess at least it's not book art you absolutely love. That's one upside, but I still hate anything being lost. It sucks

One thing I don't get what book boxes are doing is adding items from adult fandoms in YA book boxes. It doesn't really make much sense to me.

Charlie Bowater did the art on the fairyloot book and they did Sorcery of Thorns, as well. And while her art is GORGEOUS, the characters all kind of look very similar.

I'm not a fan of boycotts. We have freedom of speech. Why should the author be harmed just because a company employee spouted out their opinion. I say if you don't like someone's opinion, scroll on past and don't try to ruin a whole company.
100%. I think this boycott is ridiculous - no hate to Kim, I would imagine there’s tons of pressure to join in on those things because the pro-boycott people (I’m any boycott) can be so hateful if anyone steps out of line. But I’m already beyond sick of it.
Agree, I'm so tired of it. Especially when I've so many people joining the boycott, while admitting they don't really know anything about it. So you'll boycott them, but can't be bothered to know why? And at the end of the day it IS hurting the authors whether or not that is the intention. So disappointing to see. @@nataliejohn4243
I appreciate your boycotting of St. Martins (and truly it’s a boycot of the marketing not the books / authors) so no performing free labour! (Also it’s not just political, it also has to do with that marketing person publicly shares racist things on their private and if you’re racist in personal you prob are in your professional life too!)
Also I’m so sad! I skipped evernight because I need to save monies and this edition is stunning!!!!!!! I love all things creepy.

OC is not for you. We have watched several of your videos...and you are easily disappointed..
Owlcrate used to be my favorite subscription and I was always on their side until 2024 when they changed their pin design and their book designs. They've also been less unique compared to their old ideas. So I'm holding out hope they'll get back to being my favorite
