- I ended up wild camping at the Apollon Lairbenos Tempel because I got scared of the road on the way to the Guney Waterfall. All this after a great night wild camping at Buldan Yayla Lake. So join me on this new adventure.
Buldan Yayla Lake :
Buldan Süleymanlı Yayla Lake is shallow and 1,150 meters above sea level. It is a true paradise for birds and other small game. You need to drive a steep but good road with many hairpin bends that starts at the town of Buldan.
Guney Waterfall:
Guney Waterfall is located about 4 km. south of Güney District. The waterfalls are spectacular in terms of natural beauty and is a protected area of first degree. The waterfall is rippling limestone water from about 20 meters high, resulting in a variety of steps and formations of limestone in the bed of the waterfall.
Apollon Lairbenos Tempel
The temple was dedicated to Apollo, the town's principal god during the late Hellenistic period. This Apollo was linked to the ancient Anatolian sun god and the god of oracles Kareios. The site also included temples or shrines to Cybele, Artemis, Pluto, and Poseidon. Now only the foundations of the Hellenistic temple remain. The temple stood within a peribolos (15 by 20 metres (49 by 66 ft)) in Doric style.

That was good. Thank you! I never trust google maps!
I think you are very right about google maps. I found out again later on in my trip
Can you tell me where to find the large roadmap of Turkey you were looking at on the side of your van please?
Can't remember where I found it. But Amazon type shops have them for sure. Sadly not very detailed.
I wish you low mileage 6 cylinder diesel constant all wheel drive van, like Mercedes 4 Matic to climb everywhere!
That would be so cool!
