    To be fair to Phoebe, early episodes also establish that her mother and grandmother lied to her repeatedly about her childhood (the generic picture frame man was her dad, Albert Einstein was grandpa, etc.), so it may not be that Phoebe forgot when exactly her dad ran out; just that she was lied to.

This reaction is clearly explained when Pam goes and talks to the (recently fired) boom mic guy, and finds out that they were being filmed and recorded even when they couldn't see the crew. It's also worth noting that the main casts reactions all track very well with their characters.

    In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel says that he can't perform CPR on Buffy because vampires don't breathe. Yet he talks. You kind of need air to produce sound through your vocal chords. Even if you ignore that, several times during that show and the Angel series, you see vampires smoking which would again need air to push in and out through the lungs. AND if you choose to ignore that, think of the times that vampires were strangled until they were subdued in the series or when Spike is being drowned in season 7.

    • @ZBWorth
      @ZBWorth 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Technically Angel says 'I have no breath' which, if you're feeling generous and bullshitty, could be taken as a metaphorical/spiritual thing meaning Vampires just can't do CPR because it's inherently contradictory to their whole Vampiric Nature.
      Same way vampire blood, while being blood, probably couldn't be used in transfusion.

    • @joshuas193
      @joshuas193 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think its more of a case of they don't need to breathe. not that they can't. Saying that he can't do CPR definitely doesn't work. Strangling could be more about cutting off bloodflow to the brain rather than lack of air. Do they have a heart beat in Buffy? I don't remember. They definitely shouldn't be able to drown though.

    Claire wasn't an inconsistency, the fact that she never got sick or hurt growing up was brought up several times and even became a serious issue when she got shot. If you can't actually watch a show a second time through to research your facts you probably shouldn't post lists about it. A lot of things that seem like TV plot holes were just stuff that you didn't notice on the first watch. Like The Office gang being upset about the sneaking around the film crew did, and how they promised not to put entirely personal elements in. It's not a plot hole, the tv crew just lied about the level of intrusion. Again that's brought up several times throughout the run.

    • @shawnhenderson2091

      The plot hole in Heroes that bugged the hell out of me was the whole "we can bring people back to life" thing they did with Claire's dad, how it seemed to just cease to exist as a plot device when they killed off Nathan Patrelli, like they could have had one simple aside to acknowledge this, something like "that was a one off and subsequent attempts at using his blood (or whatever it was) failed on other people"...they didn't even grace us with an explanation, the entire writing staff decided to just pretend the whole thing never happened. It really pissed me off.

    Regarding the HIMYM one, not really a plot hole. All we see on screen is Ted's memories of what happened, and he has proven multiple times throughout the show that he forgets things and he's not a 100% reliable narrator. So just because Marshall's family was not at the wedding on screen, it doesn't necessarily mean that they were not actually there. Same for Scrubs, those are JD's flashbacks, we don't know how actually accurate they are.

    • @ollycole4917

    • @KobeSte7
      @KobeSte7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ollycole4917 it's not really relevant, everything that we see on screen is what Ted is narrating to his children, there are multiple instances where he's not present but the show still shows what happens, so as far as we know he could even be lying or making stuff up. We are just assuming that what he's saying is the truth but there are multiple instances where he forgets things or purposefully decides to omit details.

    Writers don't assume there will be 5 or more seasons after the pilot, nor even a second season necessarily. They hope the show's a survivor, and even a hit, but unless they are adapting from lengthy source material, they rarely are writing with future plot continuity in mind. Unfortunately they pigeonhole themselves, or are replaced by new writers with new ideas. Especially in sitcoms, as long as the characters remain consistent, nitpicking over plot seems like a fool's errand.

    Some of these are a little too critical.
    As an example: White walkers getting the dragon… they just need to sink to it. Grab chain. Jump in. Don’t miss MASSSIVE dragon. Tie dragon. Either sink to bottom & live there forever or climb up the chain.
    Claire’s healing is another. It’s very easy to assume her healing powers were just super slow as a baby, but picked up into super noticeable bone mending healing with puberty. If her whole life she just never had things like sunburns & none of her wounds ever scar over… that’s a lot easier to not notice.

    The White Walkers had an element of magic about them. Recall that they could see, and even touch Bran when he was in his astral viewing form. So it stands to reason the Night King could see visions of the future. When they could raise dead, visions like what Bran could do would be easy. So they likely knew they would have to retrieve the corpse of the dragon from the water and brought huge chains with them.

    Black Mirror: have you ever seen what people done with Overwatch? Plus if you design a 'full VR' game it is conceivable sex would be possible I mean what if you're kicked in the groin and don't feel pain and if you do then all bets are off.
    Lost: isn't she crazed and traumatized? Seeing the same guy looking exactly like he looked decades prior would make her feel even more insane - though on that note one more reason for her to freak ou I suppose.
    Game of Thrones: they can't swim, but they can dive. It's one thing to 'just walk' for a short distance on the bottom of (I assume) a lake but it's an entirely different thing to walk thousands of miles though the ocean floor.
    The others I won't even bother... if you're gonna point out plot holes in comedy you can spend the rest of your days making videos about The Simpsons...

A cop investigating a terrorist discovers a spy working for the terrorist. She learns of a meeting investigating corrupt cop's apartment. This meeting is a group of anti-aliens. Through them she learns the terrorist is an alien, however it never occurs to her the corrupt cop, through which she learned of the meeting, might be an alien himself, meaning the aliens know of the meeting.

    Could do one from Eureka that has bothered me for years. In the first season; Jo Lupo had a tattoo, from her time in the military, that she showed off and was proud of. After the first season, it seems to have disappeared. That's a continuity error, not a plot hole, right? Well, go ahead a season or two and there's an episode where an evil scientist woman swaps their genetics so Jo would look like her, to frame her, and then the scientist could go on living as Jo... Altering genetics wouldn't have altered a tattoo. If they hadn't ruined the continuity with her tattoo, they wouldn't have created a plot hole as, Jo could have easily shown her tattoo to prove her identity.
