Yo I was gonna say the same thing. Dam he nailed it. Idk if you know but the dude that plays Divine in the show is a Broadway thespian type actor. He was in a play with Bryan Cranston (Walter White from Breaking Bad) and had to get permission from him to leave the play to film the show and come back. Bryan said hell yeah go do that shit and come back it's all good. Makes me like that dude more.

The Character who played Divine was spot on from the voice, demeanor and everything. I loved the show so much because it really captured the struggles, the passion and pain and struggle of trying to survive in the hood.
They had my emotions going as if I was in it with em..So when it showed them finally make it I felt that ish.
    RZA and Divine are geniuses.

I really enjoyed the 3 seasons, more for understanding RZA’s musical process - it was clever in the way it visually depicted his thinking.
Also how Divine solved problems. I didn’t really know the story of Wu Tang, but I knew the name and had heard the CREAM phrase, and the unique album for 2 mil, but only because the band was a different era. However I First saw the documentary then it made me interested in the series.
It really taught me that the unique selling points and memorability of choice was in music and concepts were key to the marketing. Just doing something different which no one else was doing. Very, very insightful.
I’m glad I watched the series, because there’s too much content which is not useful or edifying these days.

I have sooooo much MORE respect for Divine and WuTang as a unit! Living in that era it's very important to show as well as having the understanding of the highs and lows of growing up in the crack era. True life stories don't always have to be doom & gloom in order to entertain the mass. We see enough of that. We need to see the growth, the trials, and the triumphs. All of the members are alive and doing well with the exception of ODB. That says a lot, especially coming from a moment in time where most of us didn't expect to see 21. May the most high continue to guide & direct, provide & protect each and every one of these men. May they all continue to be the greatest examples of God in human form. Peace & Love

It’s hard not to think about how influential they were on ending the crack era.. I am from Croatia and the influence they had on my generation, here, is amazing. But for sure they made much bigger impact in the black communities of America.
I am now aware about the 12 jewlz and where this comes from. Back in the nineties I was obsessed with RZA and Gravediggaz, but couldn’t understand to the fullest whats going on and the connection to MLK. Basically with the Wu Saga coming I connected the dots. It helped a lot that at the same time I watched the Godfather of Harlem.
I was shocked when I realized how they sent the mathematics to the whole world without people even realize it.

Probably wants to stay behind the scenes. Same with Power. They were always on the back of the albums with executive producer credits and got shouted out in songs, but rarely ever seen in videos or anything. The anti-Puffy.

My wife and I loved the show. I feel like we saw the Rza’s vision for the show. We loved how they chose to tell the story.
They could have went the stereotypical route-drugs, guns, hood shit-but they mixed the bs in with creative story telling that showcased each members creative processes and mixed in the fantasy side that Wu is known for.
