Definitely- a big Eastern Diamondback. Put the boot to the test with that. Now even while I am saying that, years ago I went to the Rattlesnake Roundup in San Antonio, Florida, where for the last time they had collected Eastern Diamondbacks. But those snakes, unlike in Texas, would be released, alive, back into wild areas. And all day, the herpetologist was standing in the pit with all of these rattlesnakes crawling around him. He did wear boots, but I never saw a single snake strike at him, while he gave ecologically sound snake lectures. Now they don't collect the snakes there, it is, I understand, just a display. But more evidence that even really dangerous snakes, that are large with amazing amounts of potentially lethal venom are not "out to get us."
That wasn't really that great of a test considering you had to basically shove the boot down the snake's throat to get it to even lightly tag the target.
