I’ve been watching her channel for a couple of weeks. I find her family and friends very interested, but I’m curious about how background and how she met her husband. I know she’s from Uganda , but that’s all I know. Everything about het is very vague. I’ve ask this question in the comment, but never got a response.
@Rosaline Lowe I am sure as we watch her videos and get to know her better, we will find more about her life. Not knowing everything adds to my interest in her videos. I think it is a wise move on her part to focus her videos on all the activities that revolve around food and how it brings people together. Watching her is highly satisfying, and her joy is contagious. That's more than enough to keep me interested and fascinated.

@@bluelight8664 this is how it's done especially in rural community in most Asian country. It is almost always a group/community effort to prepare and cook foods and we will always invite neighbours and relatives over to eat. Any leftovers are given away so there is no wasted food. We still like doing everything together. Like harvesting rice is still mostly group/community effort. We will share the harvested rice with those who same to help. We also plants lots of other things around our yard or farm,sell some of those in nearby town and shares some with our neighbours.
I feel unbelievably close to Rose, her family and the village she lives. This vlog makes me homesick. I am originally from Zhejiang, China. It feels unreal when I saw the customs and rituals. My family did exactly the same,30,40 years ago, when I was a little child. It's to worship and respect the kitchen God, who sends blessings to us, one meal at a time. Neighbors were sharing food and helping each other to get ready for the BIG DAY: New Year's EVE DINNER. Thank you for sharing this special occasion.

I'm watching this like "Theyreally good at this!" They have the main cast who are engaging and interesting and they have good supporting cast that pop in and out. Good editing and camera work. Yes the couple are the "stars" but this definitely feels like a village project

Rose - keep doing what you are doing. Make the world a little brighter with your care and compassion.
The first snack you made is SO similar to what we make, it's called gujiya, we give it the same shape!! Except we don't use lard in the flour, we just use water and our filling is sweet too, many prefer dessicated coconuts but I love the semolina one with almonds and sultanas and cardamom, some of what our Chinese and Hindu cultures share is so similar!
Rose loves cooking and giving to neighbors, she's very sweet.
I always in love of celebrating Chinese new year in a rural small village. It makes me so excited to celebrate CNY this year!! 💥🧨🧧🧧🧧 Thanks for this sharing Rose! It's so lovely to be surrounded by your loved ones on a special occasions 🌺🌺🌺

Rose and hubby love to share their meals with the family and neighbors. They need to share more about their history. Does her husband work? What kind of student is their son? Why did Rose moved to China? How they meet?How did she learn the language? Do they understand and speak English? Etc. We already know they are great cooks and they have a good marriage. ❤ Many blessings!

Came across ur videos about a week ago n am hooked…am Jamaican n in the village I grew up we had Chinese families….Chinese workers were brought to Jamaica after the abolition of slavery…I grew up loving the cuisine , always happy to eat at the home of two families that were close to my family…I live in North America n do not exaggerate when I say that I always find the best Chinese restaurants n enjoy the cuisine daily….ur videos r a breath of fresh air ….btw, ur video where u cooked the bananas in the wok was eye opening….we Jamaicans eat a lot of boiled green bananas, but of course not done in a wok…the oxtail, chicken feet, tripe, etc are also favourites of we Jamaicans…..as we would say in Jamaica in our patois dialect, ‘gwane tru mi sistren’…..i look everyday for a new video …

I studied in tororo Rose's hometown in UGANDA but those people are always happy, funny and hardworking..Rose is really pulling out the real picture of people from TORORO ...last time i watched her video when she was talking to her mother and i heard her mother saying "NETWORK ONGOYEE"...🤣🤣 it took me back to school days ..thr's a small trading center called ONGOYEE in nagongera village we used to escape from school to ONGOYEE 🤣🤣🤣

Except for the banana dish, most of them are Chinese recipe. Some of the desserts are familiar to me as the chinese migrants brought them to South East Asia.
