Julie was probably just as early a presenter as Brian Cant was. But unfortunately, she isn't really regarded amongst the greats such as Brian, Floella Benjamin, Johnny Ball, Derek Griffiths, Carol Chell or Chloe Ashcroft. Its a pity, since she started on the fifth week, and didn't leave the programme until 1978. Julie was actually the third most frequent presenter, with 600 editions. Just under Brian, who hosted 620 editions, and Carol, who actually did 763 editions.

Julie once said that the 1 thing she hated about Play School was having to sing the 12 days of Christmas

The Canadian version ended every week like that. The presenters would lock the toys in a dollhouse before leaving through the giant polka dot door.
