Is "chow-chow" same as a Turnip? (I'm guessing, we use Turnip in our Irish Stew, beef or lamb, the one we put Guinness Beer in) Going to share some stories and some recipes/menu with you. I think you'd enjoy these and I hope you try them, especially the Sweet Potatoes and the dessert. First - just an FYI (You would probably enjoy making Irish Stew - also we put small dumpling in there or drop them on top and bake = Biscuit Crust) The Guiness Stew Recipe - its on TH-cam" we put Turnips in it. Everyone has their own style - so they vary a bit. I'm Irish American, I prefer Beef and no dumplings. Rather have some Pie for desert - or Chicken and Dumplings. Enjoying your video. I enjoy learning and trying different culture's foods. Our American foods, and especially in the South are highly influenced by African Dishes and the islands. The African American Women in the South remain some of the most outstanding "Culinary Creators" aka "Best Dmn Cooks!" We can thank them for Okra and I love Okra, anyway its fixed. My friend Renea is African American and she is definitely #1 at Fried Chicken! ❤ I do ok myself, but I like to cook more gormet dishes" and ethic varieties: (one of my fav: Persian Chopped Beef Kabob with Roasted Tomatoes on Persian Saffron Rice and fresh Herb Salad.)
