@@glitchgaming1134 You were probably being sarcastic, but, just in case, it is a rare slang term to call the guitar an "axe," and I'll be quite embarrassed if you already knew that in the year since your post--we could always chalk it up to being an axeiddent.
I think the battle themes in the Metroid Prime trilogy are generally underappreciated compared to the environmental tracks. Everyone remembers Phendrana Drifts, Magmoor Caverns, Torvus Bog, but nobody seems to remember the Omega Pirate theme. Thanks for covering this, it sounds awesome.
Agreed. But then again, it's much more difficult to take your time listening to the boss themes while they're out to kill you - except while reading the scans, of course.
i remember the space pirate battle theme so well haha Everytime going into phazon mines was a jumpscare, pirate drops from the roof then i hear "WAHWAH WAHWAH WAHWAH" Then im dead *last saved 50m ago*
It's hard to listen to the battle themes while you're frantically trying to not die. the most memorable battle themes tend to be RPGs because you can stop and pause for a sec.
Completely agree with you. Actually, apart from Ridley's Theme, I feel like most Boss Themes in the whole franchise get overshadowed by Level Themes such as Brinstar or Lower Norfair. Though it also speaks volumes about how great these tracks actually are, I think most people tend to miss out on some absolute bangers because of this such as Serris from Fusion or Rundas from MP3. One of my favorite tracks from MP1 is actually the theme that plays during Hive Mecha and Incinerator Drone, a track I see next to no one talking about.
Some trivia: there's a bit of "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" dialogue in the forgettable pile of meh that was Federation Force, where your team is told that the Space Pirates used the embiggening artifact they found to basically make all the troops they've deployed to the areas you're going into knock-off Omega Pirates, and the only reason *you* can deal with them is because of the giant mech suits the Federation suddenly found the funding for. Samus is going around trashing multiple groups of them on foot (off screen).
Appropriately hard for the brick-wall of difficulty the Omega Pirate represented to the casual player. He was the real wake-up call that you were heading to endgame, and he reminded you by BEATING YOUR ASS.
You know it is a good day when Jack posts a Metroid cover. Edit: this was definitely playing in my head fighting the Omega Pirate again in the remaster. Looking forward to more covers too xD Edit 2: Aw, editing removes the channel heart :(
The 1st Prime was like beyond at like, when it came out that many people were mad over it solely because it was 1st person shooter, but it turns out it came in at a surprise, and many people actually loved it instead from that surprise; this cover will let everyone know that THIS was worth remembering.
Gamecube was an era of people being mad at things in development and then realizing that they were wrong later. Wind waker and Mario Sunshine were like this as well
At this rate, it'll only be a matter of time before someone makes a mod replacing all the in game music with your covers. I'll be looking forward to that day.
I find Prime 1 to have the weakest boss battles in the Trilogy but Omega Pirate kicks ass and is my favorite boss in the game, accompanied by a truly intimidating spectacle and music. And you just made it epic and more menacing! What a fantastic remix
@@FriedMetroid Tbh I'd consider something like Quadraxis or Emperor Ing as the best boss battle in the Trilogy but Metroid Prime is great too! Just wish the 2nd phase was a bit more interesting and had more than just 2 attacks..
OH MY FFFFF omg Omg omgomgomg THANK YOU SO MUCH i love this, Everytime i see the word "Metroid" on your channel i get so excited Hope the tours are going well jack :)
This is exactly what i was waiting for! That solo is pure awesomeness duuude! It‘s so intense. Need more Metroid stuff! Btw i‘m really in love with your shirt man
Awesome work 😮! Very inspiring stuff , I had a crack at a few video game covers after seeing you do these videos , especially the deltarune rudebuster cover 😊 Keep em coming 😁🤟🏻
This kinda tune as metal cover is why i wanna learn to play a guitar so i CAN rock this sort of music like a boss. The guitar here just screams. Love it!
Man, all of your Metroid covers have been nothing short of absolute bangers 🤘 You should definitely look into doing Theme of Rundas from Prime 3 for one in the future 🙌
This is one of my favorite boss themes in the game, thank you for covering it! Fantastically creative cover, as usual. You always find a way to really add to the songs you cover.
This boss was tough. Im a dodging god. Def was a fun battle with a helluva theme to back it up. Metroid Prime hit a grand slam on the soundtrack they went with. To hear it in metal that sounds THIS good? Shut up and take my money XD
I haven't played many Metroid games, but having covers of Metroid always welcome, because I'm aware they're music is great! P.D.: My man, your hair! I feel like it could be use as a pillow! 👍
Leave it to Jack to find Omega Pirates true weakness: the axe
best comment so far
I thought it was super missiles?

Quadraxis is my third favorite boss theme of all time, right behind Hag 1 and Diddy Kong Racing Boss Race.
I hope one day Jack does all three.

Stemage would be proud.

Arguably the most intimidating boss in the game. Very fitting music.
It helps that he's absolutely massive
The stasis tank made it scary too

i wonder if it would work in primehack (dolphin emulator version that adds mouse and keyboard controls... makes metroid prime more pc friendly)
Now I have to do it. I have the rom and the knowhow. Just need that motivation
Definitely one of the more tougher fights in the 1st Metroid Prime. I remember trying to beat this boss while listining to my dad's snoring at night.
I find Prime 1 to have the weakest boss battles in the Trilogy but Omega Pirate kicks ass and is my favorite boss in the game, accompanied by a truly intimidating spectacle and music. And you just made it epic and more menacing! What a fantastic remix
It has some limp bosses (hive totem) but it also has this and Metroid Prime itself, probably the best bosses in the series
@@FriedMetroid Tbh I'd consider something like Quadraxis or Emperor Ing as the best boss battle in the Trilogy but Metroid Prime is great too! Just wish the 2nd phase was a bit more interesting and had more than just 2 attacks..
I remember people being skeptical about a metroid fps and how it would go on gamecube.
The cover was completed successfully. Great work, Samus. It was a freaking banger. See you next mission!
The Omega Pirate theme was my favorite boss fight music out of the whole Prime series. You did a phenomenal job on this cover!❤
Never thought I'd hear a metal cover of this
The Return of the King
OH MY FFFFF omg Omg omgomgomg THANK YOU SO MUCH
i love this,

YES
This couldn't have come at a better time. I've been in such a metroid mood lately
This Power Bombs my kneecaps, nicely done!
Love the way you did the instrumental/mechanical sounds with the drums! There aren't many Metroid Prime covers I've seen do the same. Excellent stuff!
this was my favorite boss fight as a kid
You really should cover the entire soundtrack to have it modded into the game. Amazing stuff
if you could somehow do a cover of the "Metroid Prime Fight" that would be cool.
love the grooviness of the riffs in this!
This is exactly what i was waiting for!

This is so rad Jack! Hell yeah! 🤘
I'm always looking forward to more Metroid covers.
This has to be one of my favorite game covers of all time
Nice! I always love to see a solid Metroid cover! 🤘 Great work as per usual, can't wait to hear what you have in store for us next 🧡
Awesome work 😮!

The most annoying Boss in Metroid that can absorb your beam attacks. And getting the coolest armor in the WHOLE series upon slaying him.
This kinda tune as metal cover is why i wanna learn to play a guitar so i CAN rock this sort of music like a boss. The guitar here just screams. Love it!
2 years later and this is still my favorite cover of yours❤️🔥
awesome!!! クソカッコイイ!
I approve of this message 🤘
I workout to video game music. I re-listened to this 5 times on loop while on the treadmill this morning. 🤘
Awesome!
YES THIS JSUT MADE MY DAY!! I lvoe metroid and I was just thinking of asking you to cover this one!!! love it!!
Fucking badass my dude!!! One memorable and intense boss and this captures all of that intensity and tension!

Love me some Metroid. My favorite game series. Thanks for sharing!
I love the despair this track conveys, very memorable gaming experience!
*Omega Pirate* was such a beast
Back in the day...
good job realizing that phazon is more of a blinding blueish white instead of just pure blue
everyone tends to just making it blue and call it a day
And here we are, another Battle theme seeing the Metal love from an absolutely fantastic game! Thank you for covering this!
well done!
this is amazing, i love metroid
The tallest heavy enemy of the space pirate community.
This was freaking amazing!
This slaps, good choice
Brings such great memories, oh dear I'm crying lol
The only thing it’s missing is that echo’d metal clanging at the end of every other bar.
Great stuff! I love metroid!
never gets old this sounds so good
Already liked beforr hearing cause I know this will rock

insane
i want to try and beat him solely to this but i think 4 mins its to short even if the pirates that spawn were all power or plasma
wow so no longer a song every week but 1 song a month wooo lets goo........

I have a request: A really cool metal cover would be Metroid Fusion's Sector 4 (AQA) Underwater Depths. Can do?
If there's an Omega Pirate, then where's the Alpha Pirate?
