I'm glad to find that, as a relatively new Titan convert, I already know/use these ORANGE tips. I think scatter grenades are really slept on rn. They are a fantastic back pedal grenade (especially with catapult lift) to grab kills on shotgun rushers. Exotic wise I think Heart of Inmost Light is amazing at buffing your abilities along with adding to your cooldown loop. I also think Kephri's Horn is a huge sleeper. It's butt ugly but it make your barricade an offensive ability, being able to catch people trying to rush you, lurking around corners etc. and with the extended melee range of bulwark you can land one flame wave on them and follow up with a melee for the kill.
Their problem is lack of actual zoning. You cant bounce them, their aoe is pretty small etc. Kinda like flux (although, obviously, scatters arent as bad)- on paper broken and insane, in practice you just give up an actual nade for a new ability basically
Love the vid just a thing about shoulder charge. Sliding doesn’t reset the timer so you don’t need to sprint until the shoulder charge is ready. You can slide after sprinting for half a second then still shoulder charge at the end of it
For those who dont know, you can actually shoot the Axion bolts. I personally think they still need a nerf, and a great way to nerf them is to greatly increase their tiny hit box and make them have 1 HP
What I'm missing, and a lot people don't realize is that "Offensive Bulwark" will make your shouldercharge 1HK again due to the melee damage increase. No need for pergrins, just barricade and shouldercharge the first fool you see for a free 1HK>
in the vidoe the shield throw melee went from 60 to 70 only ? so its not 100% increase although biotic enhancement was also not 200% increase more like 100% only
Bro, this may be one of the best videos I’ve seen from a destiny 2 content creator. Excellent breakdown, well researched, quality stuff here. You deserve more subs my dude.
I've been rocking armamentarium with axion bolts and 100 Resil/100 discipline. It's actually really cracked when you can toss two axion bolts and have them both back in like 25-30 seconds. Also an axion does 100 damage so the enemy can no longer tank one and wait for regen, they have to run or shoot the bolts. Run a full team of this and you'll all have oversheilds and nearly infinite grenades
Same here, my only differences are voidwall grenade (to deter enemies who like to chase you), and Salvagers Salvo (mine came with chain reaction and demolitionist). Grenades back in around 4-6 sec.
I'm so glad to see you feature alpha lupi. I've been running since day 1 of witch queen and telling all my friends how good it is. It's still kinda slept on.
I love your titan vids man. You and selfu inspired me to become a titan main with some dipe builds. your heart of inmost video made me fall in love with the class and i honestly cant see myself ever taking it off. Cant wait for the arc an solar reworks and for you to show off a controlled demo build for pvp.
Quick tip, the suppressor deals impact damage as well. Don't bank on it being used though. The impact does suppress as well, and if you run the weakening fragment, the impact will weaken the target before the grenade explodes.
Solid video Castle. Alpha Lupi was a go to for me last season, i tried synthos. Alot of fun but you've convinced me to put my regal, shiny chest piece back on! Im probably to late but.. orange! Your fav color is orange!
I chose throwing shield and volitile over offensive bulwark. I am a sniper main that uses SMGs, hand cannons, pulses, and very rarely scouts. I use vortex grenade for the most part. Volitile is amazing and I think people sleep on it. I have gotten several trials match winning multikills because of the throwing shield. You treat it essentially as a wambo combo; throw the shield, throw the vortex grenade. The two will throw tons of damage into an enemy and it only gets better if there's more. Both abilities will proc volitile which will eventually cause the targets to explode after enough damage is ticked into them. It's a very potent combo that will wipe out people in corridors very quickly. More benefits of volitile include marking invisible hunters; volitile forces a large purple glow on the targets it's effecting and that includes invisible ones. It also helps secure kills because of how long it lasts; if I lose a fight but my volitile was placed on the enemy my teammates have huge advantages because if they pump damage into the guy the enemy is likely to explode and die quicker than they would have. For shotgun and fusion wielders your aspect recommendations make tons of sense, but as a corridor lockdown sniper volitile is very potent.
YEEEEESSSSA! Just have to mention, I was running alpha lupi before alpha lupi was cool. I love this exotic so much that I’ve actually designed my entire look around this exotic since and it’s one of 3 exotics I run on my Titan, the others are dunemarchers and Citan’s ramparts. I don’t use any other Titan exotics on my Titan
Recently returned to destiny, been trying to find proper pvp builds since everything feels abit overwhelming, this is the first proper video explaining things I found in the middle of a ton of click bait bs. The only thing I'd say is missing is the DIM build link, asides from that, top quality. Subscribed
This help me out on understanding to build. I have always avoid pvp every now and then I’ll jump in. But I want to get better so thank you for the pointers man!
Heart of Inmost is pretty nutty too! The increased ability regen is great, but the increased damage is also good for hitting some interesting break points. With an overshield, empowered melee×1 can 1 shot shoulder charge 3 resil and lower, and empowered melee ×2 can do 9 resil and lower. Magnets paired with weakening and empowering can also one shot, but i haven't tested those resilience breaks
Heart of inmost light is the one I don’t take off. Especially because you’re not wasting your barricade with void 3.0 to get the increased cooldown since you spam barricade anyway
One thing people may want to know is that when you are using offensive bulwark once you have an oversheild anything you punch becomes volitile and explodes, giving you more oversheild and you can create well after well just punching everything until you're overshield disappears or everything is dead. You can even punch champions to death and watch them explode.
As someone who doesn't play PvP often this is massively informative, the only thing missing is weapon advice (guessing hand canon and shotgun from the gameplay!) otherwise this is almost perfect
Only thing I disagree with is the shoulder charge vs throwing shield. I use the shield as a way to clean up kills from enemies running away and as a deterrent to keep a person from rushing when i know somebody is playing cover. Shoulder bash movement is fun but gets annoying after shortstopping so I’ll stick with the ranged melee.
A year ago. Just watched it. Si ply and hands down, THE best video I've ever watched. I'm d1 OG. I've seen thousands of vids. This had explanation, information, it was engaging, inspirational and humble. 10/10 my man. Wow
In D1 for trials, I would start every round 1 with armamentarium for a free extra nade, then switch over to Alpha Lupi by the time I got my super to give my team orbs. I had both with perfect min/maxed out stats to work perfectly with the build with either one on. Those were the good ol days.
Peregrine Greaves. Whenever you jumping shoulder charge somebody, you kill them, start health regeneration, give yourself an overshield, AND suppress and disorient everyone around whoever you just killed. Bring a shotgun for a virtually guaranteed double kill. Bonus points for being able to 1 shot other titans through Armor of Light in their bubbles in PvP.
This guide was incredible, I’m relatively new to Destiny 2 and don’t have any friends to explain the game. You explained everything really well in a way that even a new player like me could understand. Well deserved like and sub!
'Orange' your content is the best most thorough out there. Every little detail is covered. Before I've enabled got a chance to think 'what about this?' You've covered it. Thanks for being a titan main and keep it up dude
Used to main spike nades on nightstalker and I would use them now but I’ve noticed they will disappear if they are thrown at an odd piece of map texture. They can also vanish when thrown at the ground directly below an opponent’s feet. On top of this, if thrown at another player, the grenade will typically bounce off and stick to a nearby surface, but oftentimes instead of bouncing they will be swallowed by the player model. Overall a pretty inconsistent nade now so I’ve been enjoying the utility of the “new” void 3.0 nades 🤷♂️
I’ve been having fun playing with Peacekeepers, Funnelweb or Shayura, and witherhoard. With double kickstart, you can play hyper aggro, pop barricade between engagements, use witherhoard to push people out of cover or just forcing them to move where they don’t want to, then mowing them down. Lightning fast movement all over the map, and you almost never have to reload (auto-load witherhoard, peacekeepers auto load smgs). Follow up with Axions when people escape. It’s ridiculously fun in 6s. In 3s I would 100% go with Lupi though.
I don’t know if this was mentioned but what I like about shoulder charge, is when you are trying to leave an engagement and your being pushed a great escape tactic I’ve used is slide and shoulder charge around the corner.
I love my arc titan for PVP, I got what I call my "turn down for what" build build around ballistic strike, i love jumping into a crowd of ppl and killing them all
For real. Void 3.0 has shaken up.how I play nightstalker both in pve and pvp. Personally im more excited for the other classes too see how those builds and if the fundementals change.
What you should do with Titan Melee on MKB is bind the special melee to a separate button. That way it always procs and doesn't cancel your sprint with an accidental punch.
Magnetic grenades have been great at the wombo combos and I haven't confirmed this yet but if u run the fragment that gives your grenade weaken im.pretty sure when your magnetic first explodes (they explode twice) it weakens the target so the second explosion does even more damage cause the target now weaken pair that with melee and its guaranteed kills
Great video thank you very much i'm a "data person" so i needed this breakdown to understand the basics for pvp titan which i'm getting into these days. I only played PvE and only touched PvP recently but i'm a Day 1 Destiny player lol i only need a "armor mods 101" and "armor stats 101" video which i will search right now on your channel ahah ty again
Im fairly new to playing titan, but if you like SMGs like I do Peacekeepers are super slept on. Insane mobility bump with an SMG plus the extra buffs to the SMG itself. You can get an overshield then run people down with an SMG. Great exotic to run if you want to play aggressive with SMGs
Damn that's a shame, I guess it just counts as a void overshield so you at least get the offensive bullwark benefits when you have that aspect equipped
Nbp got completly gutted with void 3.0. It used to be alright givin up my mele for a shield cus that came with reload benefits but now my mele is way more valuable with it bein ranged. It shoulda jus been changed to consume your barricade on a shotty kill so you still have your mele to use
I'm not sure if he is still around or not but back in D1 I really liked watching destiny fun police and how he played using bubble and suppressor nades it inspired me and I mad a little build (or as close to a build D1 had) playing as defender titan and I absolutely loved it!!! I had so much fun with it but it never really felt the same in D2 so I went back to my solar and void warlock or solar with my titan.... I still miss the hell out of twilight garrison it rarely ever came off my titan.... only if I needed the helm of st.14 or something kinda funny...I started as a hunter and only had one character made for a long time and it was a hunter but once I made and leveled up my warlock and titan I lost most of the interest in hunter I had until void hunter came out but still rather be on my titan or warlock and I can't pick one to say I'm a xxxxxxx. main...like 50\50 between those two..... anyone else like this??
Guessing someone's said this in the comments but if your running heart of inmost light in PvP for either the regen or good nades. Shield throw is really good for keeping empowerment up safely so there's defo use cases. But yeah the shield bash is so good for movement
Given the cooldown changes to Bastion's barricade, do you still recommend it? I normally run Offensive Bulwark and Controlled Demolition, but I'm starting to accept if i want to push my K/D past ~1.25, I'll need to start using dedicated PvP loadouts and builds, vs just PvE builds with my PvP weapons.
Not sure but some titans while shoulder charge and hit you they suppress you also, not sure due to what mod or is just a combination of aspects and fragments, never tried, even though I'm a main titan, if the normal shoulder charge suppress the enemy then is another huge advantage, I've been suppressed once by only shoulder charge and had no way to use ability for a couple of seconds enough to get killed
I think Helm of St14 is incredibly strong for trials, especially if only equipped right when needed just because it pretty much guarantees a zone capture in overtime. In trials zone labs it's all but necessity to run 3 bubbles just because it equates to three free round wins or at least a full super exchange which still benefits your team because you have already given your teammates the orbs needed for their own supers.
I know this vid is a little old, but what are the stats that should be focused on as a titan? And if you have the time, what mods would recommend other than utility kickstart?
I heard you mention Fel winters is completely neutered. What did they do beside the initial nerf and what is your go to energy shotty. Love the video thanks.
Maybe I'm missing something but the "indestructible bubble" seems to get shit on by ever super. Guess it can come in clutch if you get it fast enough but it does suck that pretty much anything beats it.
First off, thanks so much for making this video!!! As a returning player who just realized returning to titan from warlock is my calling, this has been of GREAT help! Second, ORANGE! Lol. But foreal, thanks for this guide mate, best one out there hands down! Cheers!
I always use solar shoulder charge for movement instead of using it for assault. You can turn any gunfight at your favor with that movement technique, you can even do 360°'s if your sensitivity is high enough. And you only have to run 1.5 seconds approximately to activate it, no cooldown! You're literally an Icarus Titan!
Haven't watched yet, but I'm hoping to see Peacekeepers. I've surprised a few folk thinking I had to reload when I did every match I played was switch between my subs. I'm able to defend myself faster than I used to.
Great vid. Haven't touched Titan yet this season and this'll be a good starting place once I finish WQ for it. One thing that would be nice, would be to have an infographic so it would be easier to parse. Maybe not in the video so people don't just fast forward, but maybe in a discord channel if thats something you have here.
@@CastleContent no need to apologize. I rewatched the vid and figured out what u meant. Thx for the awesome vid man! I’m literally building my titan rn as we speak and hopping right into a match.
Been loving Void 3.0 as well! My original set up on day one was similar but nowhere near as refined. Great stuff as always. Looking forward to seeing the video with volatile
Everyone knocks the baby barricade, but it’s crazy good if you just play it different. Want to force primary engagements? Put it in a door the back up a bit and enemy can’t slide through with a shotgun. Also great to troll by positioning above the enemy and mini strafing with snap shot - take one step left, ads and dome them.
lots of good info in this vid castle that i will take into consideration, on a side note other than vanguard shaders do you know any good ORANGE shaders

What you should do with Titan Melee on MKB is bind the special melee to a separate button. That way it always procs and doesn't cancel your sprint with an accidental punch.
That's what I had to do. Had to separate the melees, so I mapped my hammer to RB, and regular melee/finisher is on Right stick.

I’m especially curious about exotics for Arc 3.0 pvp besides Dunemarchers
Alpha Lupi was what I used for PvE since Void 3.0 launched.

Offensive bulwark and bastion good for defense. Controlled demolition the best for offense and volitile flow.
What about the Heart of Inmost Light Chest piece? Using an ability empowers the other two abilities....
Excellent work, thanks!!!
I know this vid is a little old, but what are the stats that should be focused on as a titan? And if you have the time, what mods would recommend other than utility kickstart?
This is a very good informational video thanks for the help
No problem!
Don't sleep on Mask of the Quiet one, it's a really solid choice that can heal you after gun fights and top off your cooldowns in a pinch.
good stuff dude, never used a spike grenade in my life but dropping one behind the barricade is definitely something i'll try
I did not realize you had a second or so to use charge after you stop. I need to use it more. I've also been using crest. Really like it.
I heard you mention Fel winters is completely neutered. What did they do beside the initial nerf and what is your go to energy shotty. Love the video thanks.
Not gonna comment Orange but you're the GOAT Destiny content creator IMHO. Keep up the great work.
Maybe I'm missing something but the "indestructible bubble" seems to get shit on by ever super. Guess it can come in clutch if you get it fast enough but it does suck that pretty much anything beats it.
It was nerfed when the witch Queen came out. Lower cool down but reduced resilience and weapons of light reduced to a 20% damage bonus.
First off, thanks so much for making this video!!! As a returning player who just realized returning to titan from warlock is my calling, this has been of GREAT help!
Second, ORANGE! Lol.
But foreal, thanks for this guide mate, best one out there hands down!
Cheers!
Thank you!!
I am a sentinel main since I started titan and I have a lot of experience but now I’m going to learn a lot more
I always use solar shoulder charge for movement instead of using it for assault. You can turn any gunfight at your favor with that movement technique, you can even do 360°'s if your sensitivity is high enough. And you only have to run 1.5 seconds approximately to activate it, no cooldown! You're literally an Icarus Titan!
Great video Castle! You know I'll never PvP on a titan but always love seeing what exactly an enemy at the top of their game can do XD
🤣
One of your best videos yet
This still plays better than Solar 3.0 in PvP.
but that undying solar build is OP in PvE
Haven't watched yet, but I'm hoping to see Peacekeepers. I've surprised a few folk thinking I had to reload when I did every match I played was switch between my subs. I'm able to defend myself faster than I used to.
Bro….. you made me happy to be a titan main… you taught me so much about pvp . Thanks king
🍻
Great video! Thanks for all the trial and error testing.. I dont currently play pvp but you give me a gameplan if I ever do.. Thank you
Great vid. Haven't touched Titan yet this season and this'll be a good starting place once I finish WQ for it.
One thing that would be nice, would be to have an infographic so it would be easier to parse. Maybe not in the video so people don't just fast forward, but maybe in a discord channel if thats something you have here.
Very cool idea Ben
Can anyone explain what he means when he says 6 resilience, 3 mobility? is that like 60 and 30 or?
Ya sorry! I mean tier 3 or 6 meaning 30 60 etc
Vortex trick is funny indeed with thz barricades 🤣👌
You should do a Solar 3.0 and current Stasis version of this video for Titans. This video offers an incredible amount of insight
scatter grenades are insane, and theyre especially insane with the weakening fragment.
You finnily finished it NICE cant wait to see the full show
Late but Favorite color orange. Thanks for the great breakdown! I am making the switches now!
what is your opinion on heart of inmost light? seems to me that its curentlly extremly strong.
lots of good info in this vid castle that i will take into consideration, on a side note other than vanguard shaders do you know any good ORANGE shaders
Solid stuff, thanks for a great video!
Thank you!
Can you do Warlocks next?
