    These 4 minute videos are better than any home/design show on cable or streaming services.

    Innovation is showing people what they can have versus merely giving them what they want. Knud Holscher - a true trailblazer, thank you sir.

      Yes, beeautiful.. And I envy at the ease he had going down them. He may need to add a stair rail one day. I'm not as old as him but need one, as does my sister. 🙁

    Some beautiful design in there with the Poul Kjaerholm sofas and plenty of usage of the Mogens Koch cabinetry, really beautiful.
    It's a dream of mine to have a kitchen with Mogen's Koch designed cabinetry.

It would be great not only for your own soul's wellbeing if you own and dwell in a handsomely built and prettilly furnished house set amidst a lot of green, tastefully planted and aesthetically pleasing trees ,but it would be great also for the soul's wellbeing of all those living nearby or walking near your prettiest house ,who will feel deeply gladdened and even highly thrilled every time when they behold it! Pretty good but actually in "real" life the problem is how many square meters you can build so to have a project similar like that you need plenty of space and sq meters taxes per year are way expensive in most places where you can buy big expensive plots.
    I never ever saw and is not possible to obtain all the things that the architect is saying but in a small scale. Yes; plenty of nice and superb small projects but you cannot obtain what you can obtain with big dimensions and simplicity

    Quite frankly i hate modernism. Think these ideals of open-concept living spaces as an opposing movement to the older building principles are all outdated and irrelevant. If not anything else, at least corona virus has taught us that we might need some new ways of living, perhaps discover something new that is not the same old modernist open-concept square spaces that once were groudbreakingly new but are not as outdated as the previous centuries building styles, Maybe we could re-discover the beauty of separate rooms and different spaces within a home, embrace the beauty of privacy and the beauty of having separate corners and various different moments within a home, maybe even little spaces that are not rooms but maybe small corridors with a skylight or some other fantastic element that adds dimension and complexity into the experience of living inside a building. I mean how beautiful is an arched window compared to industrially manufactured squareness of modernity! Let's all rebel against squareness! :D

    • @konstantinosstag6436
      @konstantinosstag6436 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's all very relative and in each case something else is suitable but I really agree with your general sentiment. Rooms and nooks and corridors enhance the experience of discovery whereas open concepts hide no secrets and can be pretty plain. Especially and paradoxically in smaller spaces.
