Damn saw them at the warped tour in like 98?? Rocked my "Punkers" Snickers joke shirt till it faded completely. Incredible live band, no matter the jokes. The decline still makes me tear up Everytime. Honestly many of their tunes do, still as a 32 yr old. No other band conveys the emotion they can musically for their voices, Riffs and genre it's pretty much the creme of the crop. One of my top five bands, period. And I listen to eeeeeeeevery thing. Also the fact they always use comedy when their lyrics are usually anything but has always reminded me of the mentally tortured comedian. Gotta love how they frame the negativity in that case. That's honestly why I think they can evoke such emotion but keep it up beat. Also name another punk band that got this big with such tasty harmonies.........not a big fan of Mike drinking his wife's piss in cocktails......😯but I don't have to like it, cuz I love their music and honestly maybe her piss tatses good. I grew up with Black Flag,Circle Jerks, Desendents and all the South Bay bands including Red Cross. This is undoubtedly the best punk band ever. It's hands down. What band are you gonna take on deserted island to listen to forever?
For all you guys who complain about them sucking playing live. First of all it's punk and it's supposed to sound like this live. If you want a perfect sound, go to a playback concert. Secondly, for a punk band nofx play quite complicated riffs on all three guitars, so try to play better on drugs if you can. I couldn't even stand straight anymore...
