  • We're going to help you get rid of those piles of loose batting that have been hanging around your sewing room this week. We have easy ways to get them pieced and added into your next project! It's so easy, just need to take a few simple steps to prep it and wait til you see a new use for bendy straws!!!
If you haven't used Best Press Spray Starch, let us introduce it to you! It makes pressing so much easier and gets rid of those stubborn wrinkles in your fabric. If you've ever gotten the end of a bolt, you know that you almost need to wash the fabric to get the wrinkles out, but Best Press will take care of that step for you! We're also doing a deal with the Best Press and a mister bottle this week that you won't want to miss....

Good morning ladies. Don’t we all have pieces of batting lol? Love your tutorials and sisterly banter…

Love your videos. Not so fun story re: Best Press which I use all the time. Completed a binding on a quilt. Noticed a spot where the quilt didn’t get sewn in. Took the whole thing off. Re trimmed the whole quilt. Pressed the binding with Best Press. Looked great. Put it back on and was 3 inches short. Apparently Best Press will shrink fabric cut selvage to selvage but not length wise.It was an easy fix.Lesson learned. Thank you for your posts. Will try the straw thing.

I know it has been a year but sucking on a peppermint is great for a scratchy throat. Keep some on hand.

A little off topic here…will you be offering those pillowcase kits come November? I want to start making those wonderful one-piece wonders you showed a few episodes ago. I also will definitely be ordering the Best Press. Thank you!

Do you have a favorite sewing machine needle that you use? If you were to quilt with a domestic sewing machine, what would you use? Thanks. Quilting a couple of years and still trying to find my niche.

If you're doing free motion quilting, I only use an 80/12 Jeans needle. Just because it's a jeans needle doesn't make it a crowbar- it just is milled stronger so that it takes the torque of the free motion. I like it for straight line quilting also. Again, not a huge diameter needle, just stronger. Hope this helps! M
