Thank you for this video. I am interviewing with PENN for the MD-PhD program soon and it is my dream school so this has been very helpful in solidifying my interest!! Fingers-crossed that I get to move to Philly!
I saw your AMCAS application video- It was great. Can you share a video about how you prepared in high school to get into Cal tech, what courses you took throughout high school and when you started research in high school? Thanks!
Your school shouldn't define you and you should attend the school that'll provide you with the most success. Plenty of world renowned docs and innovators in the field that come from small state/lower tier schools. He also choose Penn over Harvard which is pretty common. You'd have to be an outstanding applicant to get into either program.
I'm a US citizen! I think (?) there might be different funding requirements for international students (don't quote me on this though) especially since MSTP's are funded by the NIH, although I don't have any experience with it since I'm not an international student. I do know a couple of friends in MSTP programs that are from Canada + other countries so it's definitely possible to enroll in MD-PhD programs as an international student

You’re the first MD-pHD youtuber I’ve found, which is awesome. What you’re doing really helps prospective MD-PhD students. Keep it up!
Royce Dong is another one, he is also at UPenn

This is the most savage thing I've seen on youtube this year.. saying no to Harvard, you don't see that often. What a legend.

Could you make a video on how you study or what you do to stay organized? I'm a college freshman hoping to get into an MD/PhD program.

@@dotMDlive I second this!
UPenn is one of my dream schools. Wish me luck, waiting for that MSTP interview invite right now…
Are you worried about the kensington situation? Like did it factor into your decision?
Hey! Do you have any tips for post interview communication? Is it worthwhile to send updates and letters of intent? Thanks!
Does UPenn accept international students for MD-PHD programs ??
Are you an international student? I've heard funding conditions are different for MD PhD programs for internationals
