    Even I own the same, Honda Hness Anniversary edition, and I have been in love with this bike from day one I got it, I have completed 7000+ KM in 8 months, its a well-engineered bike, personally I feel it attracts true riders or engineers😉(just kidding)

    I had a Jawa(dual ABS), I sold it off and bought CB350 anniversary edition black.
    owning a Jawa I had a similar worst experience I also faced all the issues you mentioned in this video and coming to the bike itself is the worst in every department the engine is so rough and unrefined and makes all kinda noices, the seat the suspension is way too hard its a back breaker overall the whole product is a sub-quality sub-standard bike, I got deceived by its old school looks and wasted my money on it and I also made all kinds of modifications to make it suite my riding style but that didn't work either.
    I'm not afraid to post this because people need to see this and make an informed decision while choosing a bike and don't waste their hard earned money.
    Coming to Honda CB350 its an absolute dream to ride, Its been 8 months ridden 10k km and done 3rd service, the engine is just butter smooth lightest clutch in the segment good riding aurgos just enjoying the ride.

      Mate why does your comment sound as if I wrote it :) I think we both empathise with the pain we suffered in the name of retro/classic or brand factor. In fact just last night I spoke to some of my biking friends who were excited about BSA in India. I told them its the same CLPL who is bringing it to India so don't have much hopes on the quality aspect.

    I have a Hness and 2 aspects are quite disappointing: 1. The company installed crash guard does not inspire confidence in case of a fall and 2. The headlights could be better, much better.

    No vibration on the handle bar...full of mid range power. The engine is super smooth and that clutch is kike feather 🪶...
    I am very happy to own it..

    Out of all old retro bikes jawa is the bottom of the list for me. The irritating auto rickshaw sound of jawa/yezdi is the biggest turn offs.

    • @creator_on_wheels
      @creator_on_wheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After owning it and seeing the option given by CLPL i know what mistake they made. They gave the option of changing the sound by playing around with the DB Killer and even told its fine to remove it for "louder" sound. What this lead to is everyone tweaking to their own taste buds and ending up with mess. If am right the newer Yezdi dont have the option to play with DBKiller.

    Being an avid bike rider since 1976, I could make out from the 2nd test ride of Jawa 42 that this would not be as reliable product considering the excessive heat emanating from the radiator and the low ground clearance . Your revelations confirms my apprehensions and unless it's quality levels matches to the desired levels this brand will not survive nor withstanding the emotions of the die hard fans.
    Also was keen on Highness but the tall gearing was not to my liking.
    Waited for Hunter but didn't like it's sitting ergonomics akin to my Gixxer with rear set footpegs which is tiring beyond 30 kms of riding.
    Ronin test drive confirmed and matched my requirements and instantly purchased it and am extremely happy riding this delightful machine having perfect balance of power, fuel economy, riding dynamics, Led illuminations and overall lower cost of ownership vis - vis its competitors.

      Am totally with you on what you said. Jawa or Yezdi or their owner company is riding on people sentiments and nothing else: they don’t seem to be worried about genuine customer feedback and concerns and take a step towards improving what not right.

      @@creator_on_wheels The engine is not of Jawas of Checkoslovakia rather its a copy of a defunct company from Italy which was purchased by Mahindra as reported. The original Jawas had very endearing exhaust note and were fun to ride with smooth acceleration which could not survive the competition with Japanese bikes and being two stroke engine, were discontinued in late 80's. Ideal Jawa co @ Mysore produced 250 cc Yezdi's, Road King, Oil King, a 175 cc Yezdi in 1987 and a 350 CC bike whose Engine and Chasis were out of synch .
      Had lot of hopes for these new bikes which unfortunately couldn't match up to my aspirations

    This is very reason why I don't go to dealerships of these bike companies to make review videos or join whatsapp groups or promote any specific brands...because the more friendly you get with these brands..you get caged..you opinions will be never be unbiased...so even a genuine problem in a bike will be ignored...you have paid for the bike and you have every right to call out the issues...

    • @creator_on_wheels

      Esp for Jawa or its parent company its a diff issue altogether. It never gave bikes to influencers or reviewers or auto journalists with the worry that they will speak out its negatives. But being an owner and being part of several owners groups I felt all of us were paying the price for the sentiment we went behind. This time I didn't go with any influencer or journalist review but test-rode the bike several times before narrowing down on the CB350. I am glad that I took the decision.

    I’ve been using highness for more than a year and went for few tours to Himalayas.. the only problem I felt..

    How is the pillion comfort in Anniversary edition or Delux Pro as I think the Anniversary edition has split seats and Delux Pro has single seat

    • @creator_on_wheels

      Rushbh, when i did a test ride I tried it on the single-seat version and when compared to the split seats on the anniversary edition ( you can opt for it at a small diff of cost of about 4k I think on the dlx-pro ) is very noticeable. there are few evident changes. The front seat is slightly but noticeably wider which gives better support. And the pillion seat is a tad longer and wider. The comfort for both rider and pillion is noticeably better with a split. But it makes the bike even more retro visually.

    • @creator_on_wheels
      @creator_on_wheels  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a valid question - the simplest answer to that is the Upgrade path. Why do you want to go from 100 cc to 100 cc again? My path was 125, 180, 273, and 343 to be precise and I know what I want next also. My primary requirement was a neo-retro or classic-looking bike, not a roadster and I went for a path within that category itself. In the list, you gave I wouldn't put the N160 into the equation because that's a diff category of bike. I wouldn't even put a CB200F or Dominar250 etc. Cos they are diff segments. If possible try to take test ride of 2-3 diff bikes on same day eg Hunter, Meteor, Classic350 and Hness or RS. you will see a very noticeable difference. If you give gap between test rides you wont feel the evident difference or similarities. Also do multiple test ride of same bike in diff showroom and on diff roads that matters too.

      @creator_on_wheels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Susmit - i can 100% say that this will give you a very good upright seating position. In worst of the case if you are short for this bike ( like < 5.5ft ) then you can optionally take the CarbonRacing raisers and you will be sorted. If you notice in the video esp when am talking about Jawa in that segment you can see my friend ride his Hness and you can gauge his riding stance. Its very comfortable. With the split seat it feels even more relaxed for long rides.
      As for the usage - if you maintain it well then it can outlast a RE or any other bike. Honda engines are super reliable. You take good care of it and it will be with you for ever.

      Hey - yes i did mention in the video also that i test rode both Hness and RS ( multiple times ) . In short and quick Hness is more retro, its more relaxed seating position due to centre set footpeg. RS is more modern and has slightly rearset foot pegs which makes you feel a bit sporty and also has wider back tyre which gives it a very scrambler type look. Both the engines are exactly same no change at all. If you are doing only city rides then take RS. if you plan to use it for long rides then buy Hness.

      Hey Dhivagar - Glad that you asked bad that i missed that point in my video. I had a terrible experience when i went to test ride the Ronin.
      I went to showroom and they told there is no test ride bike available but i can see the new bikes which are ready for purchase. I thought i had seen TR vehicles at this dealership just a week or two back. I went to the godown to see the bike and that time someone from the dealership who accompanied me told me that one guy who took the TR bike fell down and it damaged the bike and to add to this he told that the items which are damaged will take 3 weeks to come to service centre as this is a new bike.
      So i just lost all the confidence i had on this bike. This bike was on road for quite a few months already and still for their own test-ride bike they told that they dont have spares to fix then how will they fix the customer vehicle in case of an issue. This kind of let me down.
      On top of it i wanted to move up from the 273cc of the Jawa and this 225 was not something i was keen on. But on paper the Ronin is def a good bike ( even if you compare it to Jawa42 )

      @sierralimaa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right. The showroom gives an option to take only the comprehensive or the bumber2bumper ( which comes at an additional cost ). It's a personal choice and the ideal is to take 100% coverage (b2b). Whichever you take it's only for 1yr and the 3rd party is for 5yrs. So in the second year, you have an option to continue with full or just comprehensive. Most showrooms give a single type of insurance - some give comprehensive and some give full - in most cases, it's comprehensive to show that the cost of insurance is less for the buyer. Here Honda ( or rather Bigwig ) is making it very clear and they are giving options to buyers.
