NICU Nurse to PhD Student studies her NICU's HIE population | FREE NICU Edcuation

Part 3 in our Cooling for HIE series this month.
This week's presentation is by Brooke Rakes a PhD prepared NICU nurse and scientist who undertook the project of looking at her unit's cooling practices, demographics and outcomes.
She started her PhD before the pandemic and learned many lessons while trying to work full time, graduate on time, and utilize the resources she had on hand.
This is a a great example of nursing research and grit that will hopefuly inspire many other NICU nurses to embark on similar projects in the future.
