I assumed it was due to HoYo using an Ai program that has the audio fed through it and it will animate the models mouths to mimic the vocals and pitches with some touch ups here and there by animators. Since that was why Oleg in belobog was rough because of the voice actors deep gruff voice that doesn’t change pitch much, and why duke inferno had no mouth to make it easy to skip his mouth sync.

Especially Stelle and Himeko since they haven't had to many voiced lines yet. Dan Heng might have to many to replace but who knows. It's the whole reason Tingyun's VA got replaced. It’s not due to the strike, there has been a controversy about her previous VA. Honestly, I feel like the new VA suits Fugue much more due to the changes in her character, but for the normal Tingyun old voice was better

Typically TB gets their inner thoughts voiced which didn't happen at all here. They did the narration recap, but it might have been done at an earlier time.
So I do think this is related to the strike but not for the reasons people think. See genshin's recording studio Fumosa I think it is lost the contract for Genshin and Furina's va who owns a studio picked it up. The next patch for genshin is a major plot point and is closing out the Natlan main story plus lantern right is in that patch as well. Now the other thing to keep in mind is it takes time to schedule and record Voice actors then go through editing and other things needed. Many times voice works is recorded months to even in some extreme examples years before the event in question. The next patch for genshin is a in Late Dec early Jan if I recall the times right so they dont have a lot of time to get this done. So My personal theory is now that genshin is freed of the strike, it was the studio not Hoyo itself struck and Furina's is not struck, they are rapidly trying to get voice actors in studio to record their lines and begin editing. I strongly suspect they are using other studios and not just Furina's to get the job done in time. Depending on both the ending and Lantern that could be a lot of voice actors they need to get in. And I imagine this is playing major heck with scheduling and other issues. So Hoyo is prioritizing voice actors and schedules to get this all done. Sunday and Fugue for example are all voiced and this patch focuses on them the most. As pointed out Dan trailblaze and Himeko arent speaking too much so in terms of record time they may have been cut due to time issues. Because also keep in mind Fugue's voice actress was changed and I am guessing this happened when Argenti and Huohuo got changed but we didnt know as they didnt need to change her VA at the time. I am guessing agency issues considering how Huohuo's va was also voicing Lucy in ZZZ and she got pulled from that as well. So lots of demands on the studio to get recording in and so some stuff got left due to time crunch.
I just pray it doesn't give them too much pressure. Since next update for Genshin is Amphoreus is coming and i do hope they'll be able to do on time with quality.
@@josueravena3464 By the time 3.0 comes out everything should be fine if the issues are like I think they are. Right now we just entered 2.7 so we have till Jan sometime for the 3.0 release. Chances are good 3.0 is already being recorded or is done by now. In fact recording for 3.0 might be part of the reason for the loggerjam as they would be doing a major update with lots of recording plus 2.7 update then emergency genshin. If that is true its easy to see why they would have issues with scheduling. But without question unless there is something major I am unaware of 3.0 should be fully recorded and the quality we have come to see from HSR by the time it comes out.

The problem is not the VA, but the agency they work for. Lately, we've gotten information that the agency is using their VA's voice to train AI to make money without the expense of paying the actual VA. This of course made the VAs angry and eventually went on a strike in protest at this. of course this is a very brazen and unethical thing to do. so please, don't blame the VAs, blame their greedy and unscrupulous agencies. i hope they might be able to switch agencies, but they are already under contract and if they unilaterally break the contract, they are the ones who have to pay the penalty.

Before comments flood and everyone yells strike, read here. This is very likely a bug, as the programming for EN mouth movement is entirely missing too. Music except for the jukebox on the express is muted for people, including myself. And Honkai: Star Rail is NOT a part of the strike. So this is very likely to be an audio related bug. For the music example, even with restarts, only my express has music, other places and modes like DU are dead silence music wise. VA wise, I'd assume something messed up when it comes to potentially having to switch Tingyun's VA, they may have accidentally done something to EN in the process somehow. Music wise, no idea. 💀🙏 All I know, HSR is NOT in the strike, but there seems to be audio related bugs in mass during 2.7. Edit: The EN VAs were SAID in patch notes to be due to a scheduling issue.
Seems I was too late on being here before people assuming it's 100% The strike. Remember that we were fine in 2.5 and 2.6 with Dan Heng, Himeko and Robin. Which was during the Genshin voice muting. Which makes it even more likely that it isn't anything relating to the strike.
@@monkeydluffy5054 I know it's likely either studio or HoYo related. I don't get how people think it's the strike, when there is another audio bug already seen going around, and that it was fine in 2.6.

I've been hoping since the game launch that they make a setting like Arknights where we can set language per character. That would fix the EN voice problem. Hoyo isn’t replacing directly so much-it’s the studio Hoyo contracts having those voice actors that sorta force some hands. The studios should be pressured and then Hoyo wouldn’t need to pressure for replacements for needs and necessities of voicelines.
HSR studio isn't one of the studios targeted by the VA strike so unless VAs aren't doing any work at all, even with studios that aren't under strike, then its a contract or scheduling issue. Hoyo really needs to find a studio they work directly with for EN dub, three studios, three times the inconsistency.
I usually play asian games on Japanese dub (I know HSR is made by a Chinese company but honestly I find Japanese voices more soothing) with subtitles. Was never so glad I was doing it since I started to play HSR
If this is the case, ima gonna stop playing HSR and GENSHIN and focus on my college Final year project or play other games, until a patch regarding to the eng VAs comes out I don’t know what is happening to me, but HSR and GENSHIN subtitles always had some rare looking English vocabulary, so I always prepare a notebook and a dictionary to try understand the lore and jot down the translation(I’m not joking, I started doing this during the 2.2 story mode), I always use the playback function in the story mode to re-listen the subtitles so I can have a better understanding of the lore.(or sometimes just to enjoy the audio especially himeko’s sussy voices in the dream bubble HAHA and Argenti’s knight-ish voices) So basically, I consider the ENG VAs are some sort of English teacher to me, and no one’s gonna stop me to changing the dubs, EVER.
Either the strike or recording studio issue but rather than just that the weather could also be the issue on top of their schedule conflicts since in some places there be snowstorms depending on where the companies are. Honestly some companies do close down during snowstorms while others don't although that does depend on if they decide to close early during that kind of weather.

Like how pokemon games have no voice acting. All silent!
Sparkle can now officially say Robin is an avtual mute😂
@@revanninja oh, that actually makes a lot of sense.

It should be a good sign that he was silent. Also if that would happen they need the VA to redub everything from 1.0.

I've been hoping since the game launch that they make a setting like Arknights where we can set language per character. That would fix the EN voice problem. I use JP voice in general but I really like March and Dr Ratio's EN voice that I switch to EN everytime they're on my party. Would be great if I can use CN dub on Dan Heng and other Xianzhou characters without changing everyone's voice to CN too.
@@hikarishini Then the story would plays out like a Tekken game😂
sunday having a heart felt convo with robin
robin: 🙂🗿
English voice actors please come back we don't want this strike to be on forever please come back to us we miss you guys voicing as our favorite characters does strike has been going on since the beginning we can't take this anymore please come back
we gotta respect their decisions. The strike only began because their company began using their voices to train AI and not paying them. Its a serious issue, and just because we want them back doesn't mean they should come back.
Until they have sorted this issue out, then I think it's wise to keep striking. How would you feel if your voice was being trained by ai??? /lh
@@maecherie you're right about that I don't want to affect my future though I want to be a English voice actor when I turn 18 or 19 when I grow up I just wish the strike could just be over with an AI could just leave the English va's alone
@@AngelUzamaki75 that is completely fine and understandable, and there some companies which aren't doing this, etc paimons one iirc cause she's voiced. again. unfortunately in the age of ai, some companies might take advantage of their vas. perfectly normal to be upset over, however. I'm annoyed myself but we gotta respect the vas.
@maecherie well whatever Piamon's VA is at at that studio that's the studio I'm going at cuz I'm not going to have the AI voice thing as my character when I get older
Fortunately, I play muted unless I want to hear cut scenes and etc. I wish the best for the VAs to return!❤
glad I prefer playing in JP but damn... the amount of issues and controversies with EN VAs and Rec. Studios must be so annoying for EN voice users at this point.. it seriously compromises the game experience for them.
So... Its not only onmyoji, also an scene from a cutscene of identity v coa animated video of the characters who got skins for the tournament (is the latest tournament that happened).
It was the scene of a character with white hair playing the piano (composer) to then loon up to a building, dont remember the video neither scene but im gonna check it out fast.
i’m just waiting for the oh robin the trailblazer asta ect have new voice actor’s now then we will know that it’s not just “scheduling conflicts” but mihoyo replacing all of the va’s who went on strike and were just using “scheduling conflicts” as an excuse until they could hire new va’s
The VAs shouldn't be surprised that they're being replaced by new voice actors for going on strike.
The reason to play this game in JP VA
I usually play asian games on Japanese dub (I know HSR is made by a Chinese company but honestly I find Japanese voices more soothing) with subtitles. Was never so glad I was doing it since I started to play HSR
If this is the case, ima gonna stop playing HSR and GENSHIN and focus on my college Final year project or play other games, until a patch regarding to the eng VAs comes out
I don’t know what is happening to me, but HSR and GENSHIN subtitles always had some rare looking English vocabulary, so I always prepare a notebook and a dictionary to try understand the lore and jot down the translation(I’m not joking, I started doing this during the 2.2 story mode), I always use the playback function in the story mode to re-listen the subtitles so I can have a better understanding of the lore.(or sometimes just to enjoy the audio especially himeko’s sussy voices in the dream bubble HAHA and Argenti’s knight-ish voices)
So basically, I consider the ENG VAs are some sort of English teacher to me, and no one’s gonna stop me to changing the dubs, EVER.
Either the strike or recording studio issue but rather than just that the weather could also be the issue on top of their schedule conflicts since in some places there be snowstorms depending on where the companies are. Honestly some companies do close down during snowstorms while others don't although that does depend on if they decide to close early during that kind of weather.
