7:13 I had a therapist tell me something similar that really changed my viewpoint immediately. "If people really want to commit suicide, they won't tell anyone". At first it may seem messed up to say, but it's actually a really important thing for people with mental health issues to know. It means if you told someone about your S.I. then you desire help more than you desire death. It can really help prompt people to think about what they really need, and not just let their emotions run everything and be rash.
However this quote is also really important for people that feel guilty about not noticing signs of suicide. If you could've done something about it, they would have gone to you. The whole intention was that no one was supposed to notice. (Speaking from personal experience, suicide attempts where the only desire is death versus attempts where you desire death because you feel you can't get what you actually want/need are VERY different.)
For most of the cases I've seen, including mine, it all originates from feeling powerless. Like you are out of options. I'm not here to tell everyone about how "it gets better" etc etc since I know that even though it does, someone who's struggling in such a dark place is highly unlikely to believe that, especially since it's become so cliche. Even now it seems entirely superficial to hear that and doesn't mean anything to me. It doesn't feel like I'm being seen as anything more than a statistic.
HOWEVER, being told to seek professional help is real, effective advice. In order for someone to shine light into that dark place, you need to speak to a caring person as an individual, not some text or yt video on the internet. If you feel like you're an attention whore if you ask for help, what's wrong with that? Be shameless. If you feel like you need attention bad enough to tell someone you feel like dying, then you deserve to ask for what you need.
I'm kind of just rambling at this point, but maybe someone will understand what I'm saying, even if I haven't conveyed it in the best way.

I love how he makes alcohol sound like a person in the verse I can see the love in her eyes, I can feel the vibe. It always seemed weird to me that we give these substances woman's names, mary jane, snow white, but it also seem men are more like to become addicted then men. Just my opinion, would love to hear from the experts.

Active but finally got of clinic! Baby STEPS! 10 years ago, I almost died and a year after my mother died. It was of alcohol pancreatitis, and they had to shit me off to another hospital, called my father, and he never showed up. They said we’ve never seen a case like this her liver is so huge we don’t know how it’s fitting in her her pancreas is so huge we don’t know if she’s going to survive. I just remembered Looking up at the EKG monitor and it was like a flat line and it was just a little beep once in a while and I throw up and it was in a bucket at the hospital emergency room and the nurse says you are a very very sick woman I said really I’m looking at myself I almost die any minute and I started laughing because I knew at that moment I had just saved my life! Because I had looked in the mirror and it wasn’t me. It was something that wanted to kill me. It was really weird and I said no and I jumped. It was a snow storm. I jumped into the road and I asked anyone please drive in the ER I said I am dying and they did and That was that they were really good to me. I couldn’t eat they had the tube down my throat and they gave me plenty of pain meds but oh my God they didn’t work. Oh God the agony nobody knows how important the pancreas is. Oh God, I don’t know why is legal but They’re getting the kids. They always well with the music they get in the kids I want my son all the time his father I am in addition is like I said you can do anything in your life except for one thing you can I can’t stress this to you enough. You might like the feeling of drinking or other things and there’s always two out of 10 people that are the ones who do not stop and I was one of them. It’s horrible you look back and you’re like oh my God how? So I Potomac therapist the only reason why I stopped is really because of my son. He deserves more and God loves me doesn’t want me to hurt myself anymore.

I’m addicted to lean and have many friends addicted to similar, it just ruins your life in every way possible worst is you know it but just can’t do anything. I use because of depression and anxiety and the loss of a friend, know one truly understands and even getting help is hard with how they view it and view you, I vent on here to show people there’s people feeling the same I just hope I don’t kill myself before I can overcome this disgusting world destroying drug

I am an addict and I’m not gonna tell you what I do or how I do it. But I did quit drinking. Here’s the story by was listening to this 10 years ago and I didn’t even understand he was saying that there was a problem. I thought he was just glamorizing it and I was like yeah I’ll be sit at my computer and the boyfriend would come in because he wanted me to go into the bed and look down at the Gatorade bottle and just, you know the look… And I’m like I haven’t even started yet and you’re gonna give me that I said before we moved in you were the one that was buying me pint after Paint after pine after pint and then it’s a problem? It’s a problem because I’m not gonna go into that bad right when you say? So it would get me more and more upset and then I would drink more and more and more and it turned into a nightmare because it would be me on Ridellan, and it would be like a three day Binge, and then weakness, and the Gatorade was like when you hear about Jesus asking for a little bit of sip of water drop of water and they won’t give it to them my God I just stopped and I stopped after I quit those meds I almost died of pancreatitis twice After my mom died suddenly. I kept trying to tell people that I might be like this right now but I’ll remember how you treated me because I was aware because of the Ridellan not spelling it right it wouldn’t necessarily become a really drunk and slurred word type situation at all and I know that it wasn’t right to be beaten up just because he wanted sex and I would be a complete mess and I feel like looking back he might as well have been kicking and beating somebody that had a low IQ naturally. Mental impairment. He would also be mad about me smoking cigarettes and it’s funny because before I moved in with him now this is for years, I knew him I could do no wrong and then I find out that he bailed someone out of jail. That was 15 years younger than me never knew that he cheated on me because he was always up my butt. Even if I went out to go drive to the store to get a pack of cigarettes back then and I guess what I’m 46 now I don’t drink that All smoke don’t do shit anymore you know why? I grew up but I’m always susceptible. I am really am I always will be. I forget about it the last time and it was just the most enlightening moment because it wasn’t about what everybody else thought it was about me thinking about how I am better and God loves me and doesn’t want me to drink that poison. It was cheap vodka and this guy made big money, carpenters union. He was sitting there, cheating, paying another girls rent. Meanwhile, this girl was in is still a lesbian. She was just addicted to drugs, but alcohol really makes a man or a woman weaker people don’t treat you seriously, it’s terrible. It’s like the animal kingdom. They treat you like you a prey. And they like it that way because it makes the low self-esteem feel better so after I quit, I’m like what the hell can you complain about now and they would always be something so then he ended up getting his retirement fund and ended up gambling $250,000 in a year without me knowing I spent almost 2 decades with this nightmare, you know? Everyone to get out get out get out I was in school the whole time even if I drink and I’m still in school and I’m old but I tell the truth about it I really honestly believe it’s worse than opiates because look at how many deaths and violence and just insanity I mean, I’m telling you I would didn’t I just if I got over the limit like in my head I just didn’t care because he would be constantly chasing me around as if he cared, but it was all about control because he was cheating on me with prostitutes all that time Like well why didn’t you take care of them? A whole boy I did even with urinary tract infections every single freaking day because I was so worried that he would cheat on me so it doesn’t matter if someone’s going to cheat on you they really don’t feel any guilt until you catch them, and then they act like they regret it but then once the one time you’re gone, if you leave, they go right back to that person and pay them, so anything that they say to insult you in regards to drinking or anything any drug remember that if they’re controlling your every move they’re treating someone else like a queen that does the same exact thing or worse and in that case it was worse. I mean here I am drunk and say I even met her family and I gave her a Thanksgiving turkey the way I used to give you a Thanksgiving turkey and I bought them pizzas the way we had pizza with your father and it was just fucking amazing how much he loved hurting me hurting not her yes he so you’re very successful. Susceptible to getting hurt when you drink because people don’t think you’ll remember and I remember every freaking thing it hurts your soul and it’s really One Way out. You have to quit drinking. Get yourself some benzodiazepines if you don’t wanna go to detox somehow you’ll be so grateful.

The two most important thing to know getting clean from drugs. First is you have to want it for yourself. If you dont want it you will not stay clean. Second is relapse is a part of recovery. No matter what anyone says relapse is a part of the process. I've been clean off opiates for 9 years now. I quit cold turkey and was able to stay clean after several relapses. Anyone can do it you just have to want it

I know you mostly do rap it seems, but I would love to see your reactions to some Metallica songs... They cover some powerful subjects, since the singer came from a pretty messed up childhood and has suffered from addiction, etc. Really wish to hear your thoughts on the subjects. Fade to Black, Unforgiven, Mama Said, Bleeding Me, Master of Puppets, Sanitarium, all these I think would be right up your alley as a psychotherapist. And I know you'd get lots of new viewers:) Lots of love from Norway!

I love watching you react and genuinely enjoy the music. I think you trying to analyze the song while listening to it the first time is a mistake, especially with someone like Kendrick. I've watched a few of your reaction videos for Kendrick and J.Cole songs. I feel like you miss the point and the story sometimes because you're trying to experience the music while trying to translate a language you aren't familiar with while also trying to analyze the artist's story. I'd prefer just seeing you experience and just enjoying the music the first time around and then maybe a follow up video analyzing it after you had some time to listen a few more times. Some of this music, especially Kendrick's, can only really be understood after multiple listens. I wish you continued success. I also hope you get to experience these songs on your own because they truly are magnificent.
